The Joy of Aging With Grace & Dignity.................

The Joy of Aging With  Grace & Dignity....Yet with a feeling of being Ageless..................JK
Life is not about how far you can go.........neither....... how high you can jump............... nor............... how much weight you can carry......BUT....... Life is all  about experiences, friendships, family, and the memories they create. So, why do so many people fear old age when the years that go by enrich us?   No matter how old you may be, you should always be full of life, even more so, than when you were young.......OK

Even though my body is not as young as it used to be................I will not change my amazing friends.................My wonderful life............The things I have seen.......The lessons I have learned...............My loving family. With age I become more merciful, peaceful and less critical towards my self and become my own best friend.I no longer get angry with me for eating the last bite of an apple.............for not tidying my room or for buying a new car.and whatever other things may be...........I can enjoy the treat.....and the mess and flashiness because..................I have earned it.I have seen too many dear and good friends leave this world too early even before they could understand the freedom that comes with old age. It's no body's business if I choose to read all the night......sleep until noon and then spend my time at computer............I Will dance on to my own music and if I choose to cry over my past..............I will ........but in silence within ME.As the years go by, its easier to remain positive. I care LESS  about what others think of me and I no longer doubt  myself and I have earned the right to make mistakes and do things what other think are odd.I know I do forget sometimes, somethings but some parts of the life should be forgotten.I have been blessed with enough years for my hair to become fully grey unlike many others, and I am fortunate enough that way. Yes.............I like being growing old................Yes I am free and love to look the person every morning in the mirror...............I am content....I am confident and happy  with myself.................and wish that you too my beloved ageing will find mind and strength to live your life this way  so that your smile may never fade.....and will remain ageless.

Bharadwaja, also spelled Bhardwaj (Sanskrit: भारद्वाज, : Bhāradvāja), was one of the greatest Hindu sages (Maharṣhis) descendant of Sage  Aṅgirasā, whose accomplishments are detailed in the Purāṇas. He is one of the Saptaṛiṣhis (Seven Great Sages or Rishis) in the present Manvantara; with otherss being AtriVasiṣṭhaViswamitraGautamaJamadagniKaśyapa.
Bharadvāja Bārhaspatya is the progenitor of the Bhāradvāja family and the family is attributed as the composers of Sixth Maṇḍala of the Ṛigveda. Maṇḍala 6 is known as the Bhāradvāja Family Book as all its 75 hymns are composed by members of this family over several centuries. He is believed to be a contemporary of King Bhārata. Maharṣhi Bharadvāja and his descendants were respected and powerful priests-like ṛiṣhis of several clans/dynasties of the Puru tribe, such as the Bhāratas and the Pañcālas.
Sage Bharadvāja was a sage of the Vedic times. He attained extraordinary scholarship. He had the great power of meditation. His Āśramam still exists at the holy Prayag (Allahabad).
Bharadwaja was also the father of Guru Droṇācārya and grandfather of Aśvatthāma from the epic Mahābhārata..His grandson rishi Aśvatthāma or otherwise called Drauni, will become one of the Saptarishis in next Manvantara. Bhardvāja or Bharadwaja is one the most exalted gotras (family lineages) of the Brahmin caste.Brahmins with Bharadwaja gotra use Bharadwaja as their Last name.

Maharṣhi Bharadvāja was the son of Devarṣi Bṛhaspati. Devarṣi Bṛhaspati was the son of Maharṣi Aṅgirasa. Angiras was the son of Brahma and Brahma came from Vishnu. These 3 Ṛiṣhis are called the Traya Ṛiṣhi, meaning The Three Ṛiṣhis of the Bharadvāja Gotra. Guru Droṇācārya, the royal guru to Kauravas and Pāṇḍavas in the epic Mahābhārata was the son of sage Bharadvāja. He was a master of advanced military arts, including the Devāstras. Among all the seven gotras Bharadvāja is the largest chain. Bharadvāja gotra has more than 1400 branches.

  • He married Sushila and had a son called Garga. His son Dronacharya was born as a result of his attraction to an Apsara Ghritachi. He trained Drona in use of weapons. Drona also learnt the use of weapons from Agnivesha, Parasurama’s student and from Parasurama himself. Drona then went on to teach the weaponry to the Kauravas and Pandavas. Drona has a son called Ashwatthama who was an avatar of Lord Siva. Both Drona and Ashwatthama are Maharathas who fought on Kaurava side on Mahabharata war,in the Hindu epic Mahabharata.
Bharadwaja had a daughter called Devavarnini. Yajnavalkya, the author of the Satapatha Brahmana was a descendant of Bharadwaja. The second wife of Yajnavalkya Katyayani, was the daughter of Bharadwaja.
His achievements and contributions: Bharadwaja’s Vedic mantras were placed in the sixth Mandala of the Rig Veda by Veda Vyasa Dharmasutra and Srautasutra were written by Bharadwaja. The manuscript of the latter was in Pandu script and is available with the Vishvavidyalaya of Mumbai. He was a master of the scriptures and Vedas. He was a renowned Sanskrit grammarian. As per the Rktantra, pratisakhya of the samaveda, Brahma taught grammar to Brhaspati who in turn taught it to Bharadwaja. Panini, Rkpratisakhya and Taittiriya have quoted and discussed Bharadwaja on grammar.
Kautilya (Chanakya) has quoted Bharadwaja on politics in his treatise Kautilya Arthasastra. Dhvanta Pramapaka Yantra : Spectromer of Bharadwaja Maharshi.Chanakya quotes Bharadwaja in the Kautilya Arthasastra
He had an unquenchable thirst for the knowledge of the Vedas and in addition to his studies, meditated on Indra for long life for more knowledge. He also meditated upon Siva and Parvathi for more Vedic knowledge. He was a first hand witness to the incident of the Krauncha birds, where Valmiki uttered his first sloka. He was egoless. He spent a major part of his life spreading Vedic knowledge as per a command of Indra’s.

Bharadvāja in Rāmāyaṇa

Śrī RāmaSītā and Lakṣmaṇa meet sage Bharadvāja
In RāmāyaṇaŚrī Rāma along with Sita and Lakṣmaṇa went on exile on own for the maintaining the dharma/words of his father. Rama along with them went through many forest regions starting from crossing Ganga river with help of Guhan, head clansman and a friend of Rama's father Daśaratha. As he travelled he visited many Rishi's Ashrams and met many rishis and sages including AgastyaGautama and Bharadvāja. Śrī Rāma and others rested in Bharadvāja's āśrama when they were crossing Prayag and accepted his offerings as great sages knew that Śrī Rāma is incarnation of Mahā Viṣṇu, Sitā Devī is goddess Lakṣmī and Lakṣmaṇa is none other than Śeṣa Nāga.

ASHTALAKSMI TEMPLE.......Besant Nagar, CHENNAI.

ASHTALAKSMI TEMPLE.......Besant Nagar, CHENNAI...A VERY USEFUL INFO TO KEEP FOR REFERENCE.

ASHTALAKSHMI Kovil is a Hindu temple, which lies on the shorelines near the Elliot's beach, in Chennai, India.
The temple is dedicated to the goddess Lakshmi, and her eight primary forms – the Ashtalakshmi – the giver of all eight forms of wealth, namely, offspring, success, prosperity, wealth, courage, bravery, food, and knowledge.
The temple was constructed on the wishes of Sri Chandrashekarendra Saraswati swamigal of Kanchi Mutt. The foundation was land in January 1974 by public participation. The consecration of the temple took place on 5 April 1976 in the presence of the 44th guru of the Ahobila Mutt Vedhantha Dhesika Yatheendhra Mahadhesikan Swami.
History...................
The Vedas and Puranas say that Goddess Lakshmi has emerged out of the oceans when the Devas and Asuras churned the Milky Ocean. Mahavishnu married Her and They both fulfill the desires of the devotees. Goddess Lakshmi is the deity who grants the Eightfold Achievements (Ashtama Siddhis) and Eightfold Wealth( Ashta Iswaryam). As both Mahavishnu and Mahalakshmi(with Her eight forms) reside in this temple it is known as the Ashtalakshmi Temple. It is befitting to have a temple constructed and consecrated on the shores facing the sea for Goddess Lakshmi whose birthplace is the sea. Ashtalakshmi Temple Chennai Ashtalakshmi Temple
Temple :
Omkhara (AUM) Shape: The temple was designed and constructed in the shape of ‘AUM’,the First Vedic Mantra, Pranava.
Ashtanga Vimana: As the temple is dedicated to Mahavishnu and Ashta Lakshmis, the construction is on the models of Ashtanga vimana (Eight Parts) style. This is one of the very ancient styles of temple construction.
This temple has three floors, the Ground floor, the First floor and the Second floor and steps to each floor. This three tier system is the speciality of the ashtanga vimana style. The three forms of Lord Vishnu – Standing,Sitting and Reclining –are depicted in each floor. In the ground floor Mahavishnu and Mahalakshmi are in the standing posture. In the four corners of each of the other two tires are the shrines for the AshtaLakshmi.
Generally, temples are built on the basic six principles :
Adishtanam (Stationary Place -abode)
Paadam (Feet –pedastal)
Prastaram(Walls)
Khandam(Neck)
Sikaram(Head)
Stupi(Copula -tower)
This is known as Sashtangam (Six Parts or Divisions).
In Ashtangavimanam, on Khandam, another floor is constructed with Prastaram (Walls), Khandam (neck),Sikaram(head) and Stupi(tower).
In this temple, below the Stupi,in the Sikaram area, is consecrated the Dhanalakshmi.
On the Precincts, are the other shrines for Gajalashmi, Santhanalashmi, Vijayalakshmi and Vidyalakshmi in the Khandam areas.
On the Groundfloor, in the Prastara area, are consecrated the three Lakshmis – Adi Lakshmi,Dhanya Lakshmi and Dhairya Lakshmi.
In the main Sanctum Sanctorum is consecrated the deity of Mahalakshmi with Mahavishnu, as the presiding deity of the Temple.
Under one Vimanam (Turret) , eight shrines are constructed sideways and above on the two tiers.
There is a sannadhi for the 10 incarnations of Lord Vishnu, to the left of which is the Madapalli (the kitchen for preparing naivedhiyam for the Gods).
There are shrines for Tumbikai Aazhwar (Ganesha), Guruvaayurappan, Chakrathaazhwar & Narasimhar (on either side of the same idol), Aanjaneyar & Dhanvantri.
Nature of worship
The worship starts with the shrine of the two presiding deities namely Mahalakshmi and Mahavishnu, which is located on the second floor.
After the prayers are offered here, a flight of steps take you to the third floor where the shrine of Santhanalakshmi (bestower of children) is located. The shrines of Vidyalakshmi (goddess of wisdom and knowledge), Vijayalakshmi (god of success) and Gajalakshmi (goddess of prosperity) are also here. After completing worship here, you have to take another flight of stairs to go the fourth floor where the shrine of DhanaLakshmi (goddess of wealth) is located.
While exiting the temple, you have to pray before the shrines of Adhilakshmi, DhaanyaLakshmi (goddess of food) and Dhariyalakshmi (goddess of courage and strength).

ALL RELIGIONS ARE ONE...........BUT DERIVED FROM VEDIC SANADHANA DHARMA..............ORIGINALLY KNOWN AS HINDUISM........

ALL RELIGIONS ARE ONE...........BUT DERIVED FROM VEDIC SANADHANA DHARMA..............ORIGINALLY KNOWN AS HINDUISM........
A MUST VIEW AND READ TO KNOW THIS TRUTH........................
All religions are one and are derived from Vedic Sanatana Dharma. Famous historian P.N. Oak claimed that the word Vatican originally came from the sanskrit word “Vatika”, that “Christianity” came from the sanskrit words “Krishna-neeti”, (“ethics of Krishna” or “the way of Krishna”), and that “Abraham” came from the sanskrit word “Brahma”. He further claims that both Christianity and Islam originated as distortions of Vedic beliefs.
Vatican Church Compound Shaped as a Shiva Linga
Compare the two pictures below and you can see a striking similarity between the shapes of a shiva linga and the vatican church compound. Further if we look closer, we even see a perfect tripundra and bindu incorporated into their design.
Vatican
In the following pictures let us compare the tripundra (three lines worn by Lord Shiva as tilak).
Vatican
VaticanVatican
The word ‘Vatican’ itself is derived from the sanskrit word Vatika or Vatica, which means vedic cultural or religious centers. In sanskrit the word Vatika is used to describe a place, such as Ananda-Vatika, Ashrama-Vatika, Yagna-Vatika, etc. Such words and discoveries prove that the Vatican was a Hindu (Vedic) religious center before its incumbent was forced to accept Christianity from 1st century AD. Also, according to some reports, a Shiva linga was found during the excavation and is kept for display at Gregorian Etruscan Museum in Rome (details below). Hindustan indeed was Virat.
Siva Linga at Gregorian Etruscan Museum, Vatican City (Vatika)
Vatican
This Siva Lingam is exhibited in Gregorian Etruscan Museum, Vatican City. This has the most important Etruscan collection in Rome, starting with early Iron Age objects from the 9th century BC. Encyclopedia Britannica mentions under the headings “Etruria” and “Etruscan” that between the 2nd and 7th centuries BC, northern Italy was known as Etruria. During archaeological excavations many such “meteoric stones mounted on carved pedestals (Siva Lingas on bases)” have been discovered in Italy. This Siva Lingam was dug-up from Vatican City itself. Many more must be lying buried under the Vatican’s massive walls and numerous cellars.
P.N. Oak’s Theories on Vedic Roots of World Religions
P.N. Oak claims that Christianity and Islam are both derivatives of Hinduism, and that the Catholic Vatican, Kaaba and the Taj Mahal were once Hindu temples to Shiva. In his book, “Some Missing Chapters of World History”, Oak claimed that the first civilisation was developed in India from which all world civilisations grew. He wrote books on this subject in three languages.
Intent on rectifying what he believed to be “biased and distorted versions of India’s history produced by the invaders and colonizers”, Oak has written several books and articles on Indian history and founded the “Institute for Rewriting Indian History” in 1964. According to Oak, modern secular and Marxist historians have fabricated “idealized versions” of India’s past and drained it of its “Vedic context and content”.
Oak claims that Christianity was originally a Vedic religion following Krishna and claims that Christianity was originally known by either the names Chrisna-nity or Krishna-neeti (with Oak stating these meant “The way of Krishna” or “The ethics of Lord Krishna”). These generally follow in line with Oak’s other theories and claims that the Vatican was originally called Vatika and that the Papacy was originally a “Vedic Priesthood” until Constantine the Great around 312 A.D killed the “Vedic pointiff” and installed in his place a representative of the tiny Christian sect. Oak also makes the claim that “Jesus went to India between ages 13 and 30 to learn Krishna-neeti (Christianity) from sages.”
Amen comes from Aum
When the Christians say “Amen” at the end of their hymns or to emphasize something, what they are saying is a corrupted form of “Aum” or “Om,” which is the standard Vedic form of addressing the Supreme Being through sound.
In the bible it is said, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” That primordial divine word, which is one with God, is the Vedic syllable “Aum”. God manifests in creation as the Cosmic Vibration, which expresses itself as Cosmic Sound and Cosmic Light. The Cosmic Sound or Aum is the synthesis of all the sounds of the universe.

12 Little Known Laws Of Karma That Will Change Your Life...........

12 Little Known Laws Of Karma That Will Change Your Life...........

What is Karma? Karma is the Sanskrit word for action. It is equivalent to Newton’s law of ‘every action must have a reaction’. When we think, speak or act we initiate a force that will react accordingly. This returning force maybe modified, changed or suspended, but most people will not be able to eradicate it.
This law of cause and effect is not punishment, but is wholly for the sake of education or learning.
A person may not escape the consequences of his actions, but he will suffer only if he himself has made the conditions ripe for his suffering. Ignorance of the law is no excuse whether the laws are man-made or universal.
To stop being afraid and to start being empowered in the worlds of karma(action) and reincarnation, here is what you need to know about karmic laws.....and that will change your life if adopted and followed..........................JK

1. THE GREAT LAW
“As you sow, so shall you reap”. This is also known as the “Law of Cause and Effect”.
Whatever we put out in the Universe is what comes back to us.If what we want is Happiness, Peace, Love, Friendship… Then we should BE Happy, Peaceful, Loving and a True Friend.

2. THE LAW OF CREATION
Life doesn’t just HAPPEN, it requires our participation.
We are one with the Universe, both inside and out.
Whatever surrounds us gives us clues to our inner state.
BE yourself, and surround yourself with what you want to have present in your Life.

3. THE LAW OF HUMILITY
What you refuse to accept, will continue for you.
If what we see is an enemy, or someone with a character trait that we find to be negative, then we ourselves are not focused on a higher level of existence.

4. THE LAW OF GROWTH
“Wherever you go, there you are”.For us to GROW in Spirit, it is we who must change – and not the people, places or things around us.The only given we have in our lives is OURSELVES and that is the only factor we have control over. When we change who and what we are within our heart our life follows suit and changes too.

5. THE LAW OF RESPONSIBILITY- Whenever there is something wrong in my life, there is something wrong in me.We mirror what surrounds us – and what surrounds us mirrors us and this is a Universal Truth. We must take responsibility what is in our life.

6.THE LAW OF CONNECTION
Even if something we do seems inconsequential, it is very important that it gets done as everything in the Universe is connected. Each step leads to the next step, and so forth and so on.Someone must do the initial work to get a job done.
Neither the first step nor the last are of greater significance,
As they were both needed to accomplish the task.
Past-Present-Future they are all connected…

7. THE LAW OF FOCUS
You can not think of two things at the same time.
When our focus is on Spiritual Values, it is impossible for us to have lower thoughts such as greed or anger.

8. THE LAW OF GIVING AND HOSPITALITY
If you believe something to be true, then sometime in your life you will be called upon to demonstrate that particular truth. Here is where we put what we CLAIM that we have learned, into actual.

9. PRACTICE. THE LAW OF HERE AND NOW
Looking backward to examine what was, prevents us from being totally in the HERE AND NOW.Old thoughts, old patterns of behaviour, old dreams…Prevent us from having new ones.

10. THE LAW OF CHANGE
History repeats itself until we learn the lessons that we need to change our path.

11. THE LAW OF PATIENCE AND REWARD
All Rewards require initial toil.Rewards of lasting value require patient and persistent toil.True joy follows doing what we’re suppose to be doing, and waiting for the reward to come in on its own time.

12. THE LAW OF SIGNIFICANCE AND INSPIRATION
You get back from something whatever YOU have put into it.The true value of something is a direct result of the energy and intent that is put into it.Every personal contribution is also a contribution to the Whole.Lack lustre contributions have no impact on the Whole, nor do they work to diminish it.Loving contributions bring life to, and inspire, the Whole.
