This is interesting. After reading this, you'll never look at a banana in the same way again.
Bananas contain three natural sugars - sucrose, fructose and glucose combined with fiber. A banana gives an instant, sustained and substantial boost of energy.
Research has proven that just two bananas provide enough energy for a strenuous 90-minute workout. No wonder the banana is the number one fruit with the world's leading athletes.
But energy isn't the only way a banana can help us keep fit.

Forget the pills - eat a banana. The vitamin B6 it contains regulates blood glucose levels, which can affect your mood.

Blood Pressure:
This unique tropical fruit is extremely high in potassium yet low in salt, making it perfect to beat blood pressure. So much so, the US Food and Drug Administration has just allowed the banana industry to make official claims for the fruit's ability to reduce the risk of blood pressure and stroke.
Brain Power:
200 students at a Twickenham (Middlesex) school were helped through their exams this year by eating bananas at breakfast, break, and lunch in a bid to boost their brain power. Research has shown that the potassium-packed fruit can assist learning by making pupils more alert.
Constipation:
High in fiber, including bananas in the diet can help restore normal bowel action, helping to overcome the problem without resorting to laxatives.
Hangovers:
One of the quickest ways of curing a hangover is to make a banana milkshake, sweetened with honey. The banana calms the stomach and, with the help of the honey, builds up depleted blood sugar levels, while the milk soothes and re-hydrates your system.
Heartburn:
Bananas have a natural antacid effect in the body, so if you suffer from heartburn, try eating a banana for soothing relief.
Morning Sickness:

Looking at 5,000 hospital patients, researchers found the most obese were more likely to be in high-pressure jobs. The report concluded that, to avoid panic-induced food cravings, we need to control our blood sugar levels by snacking on high carbohydrate foods every two hours to keep levels steady.
Ulcers:
The banana is used as the dietary food against intestinal disorders because of its soft texture and smoothness. It is the only raw fruit that can be eaten without distress in over-chronicler cases. It also neutralizes over-acidity and reduces irritation by coating the lining of the stomach.
Temperature control:
Many other cultures see bananas as a "cooling" fruit that can lower both the physical and emotional temperature of expectant mothers. In Thailand , for example, pregnant women eat bananas to ensure their baby is born with a cool temperature.
Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD):
Bananas can help SAD sufferers because they contain the natural mood enhancer tryptophan.
Smoking & Tobacco Use:

5. Tell person on cellphone you will call them back and hang up.
6. Attempt to insert card into machine.
7. Open car door to allow easier access to machine due to its excessive distance from the car.
8.. Insert card.
9. Re-insert card the right way.
10. Dig through handbag to find diary with your PIN written on the inside back page.
11. Enter PIN.
12. Press cancel and re-enter correct PIN.
13. Enter amount of cash required.
14. Check makeup in rear view mirror.
15. Retrieve cash and receipt.
16. Empty handbag again to locate wallet and place cash inside.
17. Write debit amount in check register and place receipt in back of checkbook.
18. Re-check makeup.
19. Drive forward 2 feet.
20. Reverse back to cash machine.
21. Retrieve card.
22. Re-empty handbag, locate card-holder, and place card into the slot provided!

"When I planted the fern and the bamboo seeds, I took very good care of them. I gave them light. I gave them water. The fern quickly grew from the earth. Its brilliant green covered the floor. Yet nothing came from the bamboo seed. But I did not quit on the bamboo. In the second year the Fern grew more vibrant and plentiful. And again, nothing came from the bamboo seed. But I did not quit on the bamboo". He said. "In the third year, there was still nothing from the bamboo seed. But I would not quit. In the fourth year, again, there was nothing from the bamboo seed. I would not quit." He said. "Then in the fifth year a tiny sprout emerged from the earth. Compared to the fern it was seemingly small and insignificant. But just 6 months later the bamboo rose to over 100 feet tall. It had spent the five years growing roots. Those roots made it strong and gave it what it needed to survive. I would not give any of my creations a challenge it could not handle."
He said to me. "Did you know that all this time you have been struggling, you have actually been growing roots. I would not quit on the bamboo. I will never quit on you. Don't compare yourself to others." He said. "The bamboo had a different purpose than the fern, yet, they both make the forest beautiful."
"Your time will come, "God said to me. " You will rise high!"
"How high should I rise?" I asked.
"How high will the bamboo rise?" He asked in return.
"As high as it can?" I questioned.
"Yes." He said, "Give me glory by rising as high as you can."
I left the forest and brought back this story. I hope these words can help you see that God will never give up on you.

Meaning
Just right; exactly on target or at exactly the right time.
Origin
The Vancouver Winter Olympics have provoked a rash of emails asking if 'on the button' derives from the sport of Curling. In curling, which has a Scots sub-language all of its own, the centre of the target (a.k.a. 'house') is called the button. The object is to get the stones as near as possible to the middle of the target, so being 'on the button' at the end of a game is clearly no bad thing.
The sport has an ancient enough pedigree to have spawned the odd phrase as well as its jargon words, as it originated in Scotland in the 1600s and it would be pleasing to find a Scottish phrase that wasn't coined by Sir Walter Scott. Regrettably, 'on the button' is a 20th century phrase and from the USA. It is from a sporting context, but from boxing rather than curling. The 'button' in question is the US slang term for the point of the chin. The phrase started being used around the end of WWI and there are many printed citations of 'the champ was socked on the button' etc. from that period. The earliest citation of the phrase that I have found is from the impressively named Indiana newspaper The Logansport Pharos-Reporter, May 1917:
Moran is a one-punch fighter. He packs a mighty mean crusher in his right hand. If it ever lands on the button Morris will prove himself a superman if he doesn't go down.
The precise location of the button was made clear in Harry Witwer's screenplay for the 1921 boxing film The Leather Pushers:
The Kid floored him with a right cross to the button of the jaw.
P. G. Wodehouse, a frequent visitor to the USA, took up the phrase and introduced it to the UK, as in his novel Laughing Gas, 1936, for example:
He soaked [socked] him on the button, don't you know.
Before long the term began to be used to mean 'accurately; precisely' and came to refer to times as well as locations. An early example of that is found in Printers' Ink Monthly, May 1937:
On the button, a program ending exactly on time.
The interest in the possible curling-related source of 'on the button' has come about because of the media interest in the much-fancied British team and their chances of a gold medal in the Winter Olympics. It's no surprise that, with personnel with names like Ewan MacDonald, David Murdoch etc., the British team is really the Scottish team. That's only so long as they are winning though.
Having lost to Sweden, the English newspapers have stopped referring to 'our boys', who can now enjoy being Scottish again.

The sacred TULSI herbal plant known as OCIMUM BASILICUM or LAMIACEAE in the whole world particularly in our country is widely famous for its multi medicinal properties. "Gayatri Manthra"..............Its meaning.
GAYATRI MANTRA............................
Scientific meaning of Gaytri Manthra.
Gayatri mantra has been bestowed the greatest importance in Vedic dharma. This mantra has also been termed as Savitri and Ved-Mata, the mother of the Vedas.
"Om Bhur Bhuvah Swah
Tatsa Vithur Varenyam
Bhargo Devasya Dheemahi
Dhiyo Yo Nah Pracho Dayath"
The literal meaning of the mantra is:
O God! You are Omnipresent, Omnipotent and Almighty. You are all light. You are all Knowledge and Bliss. You are Destroyer of fear, you are Creator of this Universe and you are the Greatest of all. We bow and meditate upon your light. You guide our intellect in the right direction. The mantra, however, has a great scientific importance too, which some how got lost in the literary tradition. The modern astrophysics and astronomy tell us that our Galaxy called..........................
Milky Way or Akash - Ganga contains approximately100, 000 million of stars.. Each star is like our sun having its own planet system. We know that the moon moves round the earth and the earth moves round the sun along with the moon. All planets round the sun. Each of the above bodies revolves round at its own axis as well. Our sun along with its family takes one round of the galactic center in 22.5 crore years. All galaxies including ours are moving away at a terrific velocity of 20,000 miles per second.
And now the alternative scientific meaning of the mantra step by step:
(A) OM BHUR BHUVAH SWAH:
Bhur the earth, Bhuvah the planets (solar family), Swah the Galaxy. We observe that when an ordinary fan with a speed of 900 RPM (rotations per minute) moves, it makes noise. Then, one can imagine, what great noise would be created when the galaxies move with a speed of 20,000 miles per second..
This is what this portion of the mantra explains that the sound produced due to the fast-moving earth, planets and galaxies is Om.
The sound was heard during meditation by Rishi Vishvamitra, who mentioned it to other colleagues. All of them, then unanimously decided to call this sound Om the name of God, because this sound is available in all the three periods of time, hence it is set
(permanent).
Therefore, it was the first ever revolutionary idea to identify formless God with a specific title (form) called upadhi. Until that time, everybody recognized God as formless and nobody was prepared to accept this new idea.
In the Gita also, it is said, "Omiti ekaksharam Brahma", meaning that the name of the Supreme is m, which contains only one syllable (8/12). This sound Om heard during samadhi was called by all the seers nada-Brahma a very great noise), but not a noise that is normally heard beyond a specific amplitude and limits of decibels suited to human hearing.
Hence the rishis called this sound Udgith musical sound of the above, I..e., heaven. They also noticed that the infinite mass of galaxies moving with a velocity of 20,000 miles/second was generating a kinetic energy = ½ MV2 and this were balancing the total energy consumption of the cosmos.
Hence they named it Pranavah, which means the body (vapu) or store house of energy (prana).
B. TAT SAVITUR VARENYAM:
Tat that (God), savitur the sun (star), varenyam worthy of bowing or respect. Once the form of a person along with the name is known to us, we may locate the specific person.Hence the two titles (upadhi) provide the solid ground to identify the formless God, Vishvamitra suggested.
He told us that we could know (realize) the unknowable formless God through the known factors, viz., sound Om and light of suns (stars).
A mathematician can solve an equation x2+y2=4; if x=2; then y can be known and so on. An engineer can measure the width of a river even by standing at the riverbank just by drawing a triangle. So was the scientific method suggested by Vishvamitra in the mantra in the next portion as under:-
C) BHARGO DEVASYA DHEEMAHI:
Bhargo the light, devasya of the deity, dheemahi we should meditate. The rishi instructs us to meditate upon the available form (light of suns) to discover the formless Creator (God). Also he ants us to do japa of the word Om (this is understood in the Mantra). This is how the sage wants us to proceed, but there is a great problem to realize it, as the human mind is so shaky and restless that without the grace of the Supreme (Brahma) it cannot be controlled.
Hence Vishvamitra suggests the way to pray Him as under:
D) DHIYO YO NAH PRACHODAYAT:
Dhiyo (intellect), yo (who), nah (we all), prachodayat (guide to right Direction). O God! Deploy our intellect on the right path. Full scientific interpretation of the Mantra: The earth (bhur), the planets (bhuvah), and the galaxies (swah) are moving at a very great velocity, the sound produced is Om , (the name of formless God.) That God (tat), who manifests himself in the form of light of suns (savitur) is worthy of bowing / respect (varenyam).
We all, therefore, should meditate (dheemahi) upon the light (bhargo) of that deity (devasya) and also do chanting of Om. May He (yo) guide in right direction (prachodayat) our(nah) intellect dhiyo. So we notice that the important points hinted in the mantra are:-
1) The total kinetic energy generated by the movement of galaxies acts as an umbrella and balances the total energy consumption of the cosmos. Hence it was named as the Pranavah (body of energy). This is equal to 1/2 mv2 (Mass of galaxies x velocity2).
2) Realizing the great importance of the syllable OM , the other later date religions adopted this word with a slight change in accent, viz., amen and Ameen.
When someone shares something of value with you and you benefit from it, you have a moral obligation to share it with others
Selfishness is not living as one wishes to live, it is asking others to live as one wishes to live

Bhur the earth, Bhuvah the planets (solar family), Swah the Galaxy. We observe that when an ordinary fan with a speed of 900 RPM (rotations per minute) moves, it makes noise. Then, one can imagine, what great noise would be created when the galaxies move with a speed of 20,000 miles per second..
This is what this portion of the mantra explains that the sound produced due to the fast-moving earth, planets and galaxies is Om.
The sound was heard during meditation by Rishi Vishvamitra, who mentioned it to other colleagues. All of them, then unanimously decided to call this sound Om the name of God, because this sound is available in all the three periods of time, hence it is set
(permanent).
Therefore, it was the first ever revolutionary idea to identify formless God with a specific title (form) called upadhi. Until that time, everybody recognized God as formless and nobody was prepared to accept this new idea.
In the Gita also, it is said, "Omiti ekaksharam Brahma", meaning that the name of the Supreme is m, which contains only one syllable (8/12). This sound Om heard during samadhi was called by all the seers nada-Brahma a very great noise), but not a noise that is normally heard beyond a specific amplitude and limits of decibels suited to human hearing.
Hence the rishis called this sound Udgith musical sound of the above, I..e., heaven. They also noticed that the infinite mass of galaxies moving with a velocity of 20,000 miles/second was generating a kinetic energy = ½ MV2 and this were balancing the total energy consumption of the cosmos.
Hence they named it Pranavah, which means the body (vapu) or store house of energy (prana).
B. TAT SAVITUR VARENYAM:
Tat that (God), savitur the sun (star), varenyam worthy of bowing or respect. Once the form of a person along with the name is known to us, we may locate the specific person.Hence the two titles (upadhi) provide the solid ground to identify the formless God, Vishvamitra suggested.
He told us that we could know (realize) the unknowable formless God through the known factors, viz., sound Om and light of suns (stars).
A mathematician can solve an equation x2+y2=4; if x=2; then y can be known and so on. An engineer can measure the width of a river even by standing at the riverbank just by drawing a triangle. So was the scientific method suggested by Vishvamitra in the mantra in the next portion as under:-
C) BHARGO DEVASYA DHEEMAHI:
Bhargo the light, devasya of the deity, dheemahi we should meditate. The rishi instructs us to meditate upon the available form (light of suns) to discover the formless Creator (God). Also he ants us to do japa of the word Om (this is understood in the Mantra). This is how the sage wants us to proceed, but there is a great problem to realize it, as the human mind is so shaky and restless that without the grace of the Supreme (Brahma) it cannot be controlled.
Hence Vishvamitra suggests the way to pray Him as under:
D) DHIYO YO NAH PRACHODAYAT:
Dhiyo (intellect), yo (who), nah (we all), prachodayat (guide to right Direction). O God! Deploy our intellect on the right path. Full scientific interpretation of the Mantra: The earth (bhur), the planets (bhuvah), and the galaxies (swah) are moving at a very great velocity, the sound produced is Om , (the name of formless God.) That God (tat), who manifests himself in the form of light of suns (savitur) is worthy of bowing / respect (varenyam).
We all, therefore, should meditate (dheemahi) upon the light (bhargo) of that deity (devasya) and also do chanting of Om. May He (yo) guide in right direction (prachodayat) our(nah) intellect dhiyo. So we notice that the important points hinted in the mantra are:-
1) The total kinetic energy generated by the movement of galaxies acts as an umbrella and balances the total energy consumption of the cosmos. Hence it was named as the Pranavah (body of energy). This is equal to 1/2 mv2 (Mass of galaxies x velocity2).
2) Realizing the great importance of the syllable OM , the other later date religions adopted this word with a slight change in accent, viz., amen and Ameen.
When someone shares something of value with you and you benefit from it, you have a moral obligation to share it with others
Selfishness is not living as one wishes to live, it is asking others to live as one wishes to live
Keep chanting "Gayatri Manthra" every day.

This article is on one of the practices widely used by Indian Brahmins all over using a Holy Grass named Dharbham or Dharbai.
In all functions, auspicious or inauspicious, a performing person needs to wear a ring made of this Dharbham. But many have lost the reason of why it is to be used in the first place.
What I learnt from my father is proved to be accurately correct by a Medicine Practitioner.
A Doctor named Sadhashiv Rao, once visited my home. When the topic turned to many subjects, I needed to tell him about the Holy Grass named
Dharbham. When I told him about the usage and the values, he could not just believe my words.
So, he took out a bunch of the Dharbham from me, went straight to the clinic to take an x-ray of his palm, by covering his hand with the Dharbham. To his utter surprise, he found that the grass absorbed about 60% of the radiation!
When the so powerful X-ray radiation can be absorbed by the Holy Grass,
why can it not absorb the ill radiations spread over the atmosphere?
While chanting and reciting some Vedic phrases and verses, one needs to wear a ring made of Dharbham on his right hand ring finger.
The count of leaves depends upon the ceremony that is held viz...........
for some ceremonies related to death only Single leafed Dharbham is used;
for Auspicious and daily routine a ring made of two leaves is used;
for inauspicious but not death related functions, (i.e. Amavasya Tharppanam, Pithru Pooja etc) a three leaf Dharbham ring is used.
And for the Temple Prayer and Pooja,a Four-leaf Dharbham ring is used.
Also, when a fire ritual known as Agni Santana is performed, these Dharbham are spread all the four sides of the Agni Kundam.
Also, during the Eclipse time,these Dharbham are used to cover all food items to protect them from the harmful ultra violet radiation.
Whenever any function is held,firstly they perform a site-cleansing act known as “Sudhhi Punyaahavachanam”.
While reciting the selective verses,they hold the Dharbham bunch in their hand and placing the tip point of it over the vessel containing water.
Thus the recited vibration values are absorbed by water in the vessel through the Dharbham.
They found that the Holy Grass known as Dharbham has the highest value in conducting the phonetic vibrations through its tip.
Later, they sprinkle the Holy water at every nook and corner of the place,
where the ceremony or function is held.
A Dharbham without the tip is considered of no value, as the
conductor-type value is lost in it.
My father, Late Shri Ramabathrachariar of Mukkur,fondly called by everyone as Sriraman, has given me the immense values of Dharbham and its usage.
With Sanskrit phonetic sound and vibration, using the Dharbham increases its value.
The usage varies according to the functions. It is really a marvel, that
in those days of Vedic Era, the Sages & Saints of Hindu land used to control...................................
The Magnetic path disturbances,just by simply using this Dharbham!
Apart from the above, Dharbham cannot be planted and grown everywhere.
It only grows naturally at selective places and available almost in every
state in India.
Some learned scholars name it after Saint Vishwaamitra - hence Dharbham is known and called as Vishwaamitra.
If it is kept for a longer time, say for more than six months, then it loses it value and the power of absorbing the radiation or magnetic path control values.
Dharbham cannot just be plucked straight or cut on any day;
There is a specific Slokha that is to be recited before cutting it;
That too it can be cut only on the day next to Full Moon - known as Krishna Paksha Pradamai.

Due to bruises and pain she started crying.
When the other seven girls heard the little girl cry they stopped running, stood for a while and turned back.
Seeing the girl on the track they all ran to help.
One among them bent down, picked her up and kissed her gently
And enquired as to how she was..
They then lifted the fallen girl pacifying her.
Two of them held her firmly while all seven joined hands together and walked together towards the winning post..........
There was pin drop silence at the spectator's stand.
Officials were shocked.
Slow claps multiplied to thousands as the spectators stood up in appreciation.
Many eyes were filled with tears
And perhaps even God's!
YES.!! This happened in Hyderabad [INDIA], recently!
The sport was conducted by
National Institute of Mental Health.
All these special girls had come to participate in this event
They were spastic children.
Yes, they were Mentally Challenged.
What did they teach the WORLD.?
Teamwork.?
Humanity.?
Equality among all.??
Successful people help others who are slow in learning

Technology is not only about gadgetry but about arranging our lives in a way that the survival process is handled effortlessly and there is time and space to explore other aspects and dimensions – which would not be possible if we were fully occupied with survival.
If your perception is changing at different times of your life, clearly what you did yesterday or how you saw life yesterday was a mistake. What you are doing now seems to be the right thing to you, but this can change anytime. What you do today may seem like a mistake tomorrow, and what you do tomorrow will might seem to be the right thing. So, there is a mistake in the way we perceive life. When this gets corrected, people think you are a mystic because you are beginning to perceive life in a way that you cannot fit in logic; it is way beyond logic.
Logic is just a small part of your life – you can never fit life into it. You can fit logic into your life but never life into logic.........................................................And bear in mind
"Problems cannot be solved by thinking within the
framework in which they were created, here logic plays its role.

One thing about nurturing the spark - don't take life seriously. Life is not meant to be taken seriously, as we are really temporary here. We are like a pre-paid card with limited validity. If we are lucky, we may last another 50 years. And 50 years is just 2,500 weekends. Do we really need to get so worked up?
It's ok, bunk a few classes, scoring low in couple of papers, goof up a few interviews, take leave from work, fall in love, little fights with your spouse once in a blue moon. We are people, not programmed devices.

Don’t just have career or academic goals. Set goals to give you a balanced, successful life. I use the word balanced before successful. Balanced means ensuring your health, relationships, mental peace are all in good order. There is no point of getting a promotion on the day of your breakup. There is no fun in driving a car if your back hurts. Shopping is not enjoyable if your mind is full of tensions.
