PUSHYA NAKSHATRA & ITS SIGNIFICANCE.

Talk about Pushya Nakshatra and something that
immediately comes to the mind is gold. The
significance of the day is the favorable alignment of
astrological stars, which is considered special for
beginning new ventures and purchases. When Pushya
Nakshatra falls on a Thursday it is considered even
more auspicious and it is referred as Guru Pushya
Nakshatra.

Pushya Nakshatra occurs several times in a year in the
Hindu calendar. Some of the Pushya Nakshatra days in
2008 are:-
January 23
February 19
March 17
April 14
May 11
June 7
July 5
August 1
September 24
October 22
November 18
&
December 22

But most people opt for Guru Pushya Nakshatra day and
ignore the normal days.

According to Hindu astrological beliefs the favorable
alignment of the stars on this Pushya Nakshatra day
results in prosperity, success and happiness.
Therefore it considered to be the most auspicious day
in a year to make investments and purchases.

Thanks to the effective campaign conducted by
Jewellery shops, Pushya Nakshatra day for many means
the right day in the Hindu calendar to buy gold
ornaments. In India, gold is still considered to be an
ideal investment and many people make it a point to
purchase gold, gems and jewelry on this day.

Pushya means ‘to nourish’ and therefore a person can
think beyond gold investment on this day. Nowadays
there are several better and precious opportunities of investment
other than gold.
The Transition Called Death

Death--what is it? The dropping off of the physical body is the time when all of the karma-making actions go back to seed in the muladhara chakra, into the memory patterns. All of our actions, reactions and the things we have set in motion in the pranic patterns in this life form the tendencies of our nature in our next incarnation. The tendencies of our nature in the present incarnation are the ways in which awareness flows through the ida, pingala and sushumna currents.

These tendencies of man's nature also are recorded under the astrological signs in which he is born. Man comes through an astrological conglomeration of signs, or an astrological chart, according to his actions and reactions and what he set in motion in the seed-karma patterns of his past life. So, we are always the sum total, a collection, of all the karmic experiences, a totality of all the seed patterns that have happened to us, or that we have caused to happen, through the many, many lives. We are now a sum total, and we are always a continuing sum total.

A past life is not really so many years ago. That is not the way to look at it. It is now. Each life is within or inside the other. They exist as karmic seeds that appear in the pranic force fields in our life now and, like seeds, when watered they grow into plants. These seeds are nourished by prana. When we die, or when we discard the physical body, that is the end of a chapter of experience. Then we pick up a new physical body. This begins a new chapter that is always referring back to the last chapter for direction. These are tendencies.

This is the entire story of what happens after we die. We simply step out of the physical body and are in our astral body, going on in the mind as usual. The awareness does not stop simply because the physical body falls away. The ida force becomes more refined, the pingala force becomes more refined, the sushumna force is there like it always was, but all are in another body that was inside the physical body during life on Earth.

One great peculiarity about man is that he individually feels that he is never going to die and goes on through life planning and building as though he were going to live forever and ever. The fear of death is a natural instinctive reflex. We encounter it sometimes daily, once a month, or at least once a year when we come face to face with the possibility of obliteration of our personality and of leaving the conscious mind. The fear of change or fear of the unknown is an ominous element in the destiny of a human being. The study and comprehension of the laws of reincarnation can alleviate this fear and bring an enlightened vision of the cosmic rhythms of life and death. It is a simple process, no more fantastic, shall we say, than other growth problems we experience daily. A flower grows, blossoms and withers. The seed falls to the ground, is buried in the earth, sprouts and grows into a plant and a flower.

What's death ?

Its a Great Journey towards astral world.

For Hindus, death is nobly referred to as mahaprasthana, "the great journey." When the lessons of this life have been learned and karmas reach a point of intensity, the soul leaves the physical body, which then returns its elements to the earth. The awareness, will, memory and intelligence which we think of as ourselves continue to exist in the soul body.

Death is a most natural experience, not to be feared. It is a quick transition from the physical world to the astral plane, like walking through a door, leaving one room and entering another. Knowing this, we approach death as a sadhana, as a spiritual opportunity, bringing a level of detachment which is difficult to achieve in the tumult of life and an urgency to strive more than ever in our search for the Divine Self.

To be near a realized soul at the time he or she gives up the body yields blessings surpassing those of a thousand and eight visits to holy persons at other times. The Vedas explain, "As a caterpillar coming to the end of a blade of grass draws itself together in taking the next step, so does the soul in the process of transition strike down this body and dispel its ignorance." Aum Namah Sivaya-the only consolation, tranquility, place of divine peace to rest.

(an excerpt from You Can't Send a Duck to Eagle School)by Ken Blanchard

A few years ago I was invited to spend some time with Ken Blanchard at his lake home in upstate New York. Over the last 20 years Ken has probably sold more books than any other business author. His classic, The One Minute Manager, has sold over 10 million copies. He has also built a large training company with the focus on servant leadership and customer service.

I've had the good fortune to meet many successful businessmen, authors, and speakers during my career, but I've never met anyone that "walked the talk" more than Ken. He gets it. The first night of my visit to Ken's lake home, we were sitting on the deck with Humberto, his son-in-law, talking about some ways we could work together. It was about 10 p.m., when all of a sudden Ken jumped up and asked to be excused. He returned about 10:20 and Humberto asked, "What happened?" Ken said,

"I can't believe it; I forgot to call Dorothy on her birthday."

Later that night, after Ken had gone to bed, Humberto told me that Dorothy is an 85 year old part time employee for the company. It then dawned on me that at 10 p.m. Ken left to spend almost 20 minutes talking to Dorothy and inquiring about how she had spent her special day. However, after spending more time with Ken over the next year, I came to realize that this was no fluke. This is who he is. The last time while visiting him at his San Diego office, I learned that one of his employees who worked in the warehouse had recently passed away. On that day, Ken had invited the employee's wife to come to his office. When she arrived, he spent an hour walking around with her carrying a tape recorder to record all of the wonderful memories that other employees had of her husband. When the wife left she said it was a day she'd never forget.

You see, what many leaders would have considered a waste of time, Ken saw it as an opportunity to serve and to thank his people. He doesn't do it because it's expected of him, he does it because he truly cares. It comes from his heart, and his people love him for being the servant leader that he is.

This is an old Chinese poem that offers wonderful advice for any leader:

GO to the people
LIVE among the people
LEARN from them
LOVE them.
START with what they know,
BUILD on what they have.
But of the BEST leaders,
When their TASK is accomplished,
Their WORK is done,
The PEOPLE will remark,
"WE HAVE DONE IT OURSELVES."

"Know prudence B4 knowing "Jurisprudence"

Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu those days was known by his earlier name "Nimai". He was 16 years old. Having completed his education in Grammar, he had been making a keen study of `NyayaShastra/ Nyaayashaastra' (jurisprudence) and been authoring a book on the subject. At the same time his classmate Pandit Shri Raghunath ji was also busy writing a book titled "Didhiti" on nyaaya which eventually turned out to be a renowned reference on nyaayashaastra.

Incidentally, Shri Raghunath ji came to know that Nimai, too, was writing a book on the same subject. He expressed his desire to have a look at the book. The next day Nimai brought his book along and while both were crossing a river in a boat on their way to school, Nimai started reciting from his book. Raghunat Pandit became grief-stricken to listen to its contents. Tears began to roll down his cheeks. When in the midst of his reading Nimai raised his head to have a look at his friend, he saw Raghunath crying. Quite taken aback Nimai asked Raghunath, "What is the matter? What makes you weep?" Raghunath replied innocently, "I had been attempting to write a book on jurisprudence in the fervent hope that it would be regarded as the best and the most authentic source of reference, but my hope stands demolished now. Who would care to read my book after going through this magnificent book of yours?"

"Oh, come on! Is this very petty thought causing you so much of anguish?" Nimai burst into laughter like an innocent kid, "This must be an extremely bad book which caused so much of agony to such a dear friend of mine!" And before Raghunath could understand anything, Nimai had tossed his book into the river. Its pages had scattered and were flying afloat the waves of the holy river Ganga. Raghunath got speechless and was about to fall at the feet of Nimai, but Nimai's lifted him up with his broad limbs and embraced him with a caress soaked in love…

Impressions for inspiration from Great sources:-

1. Even when speech is suppressed, the activity of the mind still continues. All the same silence helps control the mind. As the mind dives deeper, its activity slackens off, and then one comes to feel that He Who provides for everything will arrange matters.

When the mind is agitated by thoughts of worldly things, the benefit that should be gained by abstaining from speech is lost. When the mind is centered on God, it keeps advancing steadily, and along with this emerges purity of body and mind. To let thoughts dwell on objects of the senses is waste of energy.

By constantly dwelling on the thought of God all the granthis (knots) that make up ego are unraveled, and that which has to be realized will be realized.

To say 'through silence He is realized' is not correct, because Supreme Knowledge does not come 'through' anything. Supreme Knowledge reveals itself. For destroying the ‘veil’, there are suitable spiritual disciplines and practices.

2. Our life is a mixture of opposites like joy and sorrow, success and failure, good and evil... As long as we consider this world to be real, we cannot escape the pairs of opposites nor eradicate the sense of duty. The only way out of this state of things is to realize the unreality of the world, and renounce our identification with it.

Being in the world but not of it.

The Atman is the only substance of the universe, just as clay is the only substance of a pot. The pot is nothing but clay with name and form superimposed on it. So is this universe nothing but the Self with name and form superimposed on it. Just as waves, foam, and bubbles are nothing but the sea, and are non-different from it, so the universe is nothing but the Self, and is non-different from it.

In reality the Self is ever free. It never enters into a state of bondage. It is our ignorance that we think ourselves bound; and this thought makes our supposed bondage persist and continue. If, however, we constantly think of ourselves as the eternally free Self, we shall realize that we are ever free.

3. Mataji Vanamali on the Hindu Concept of Mother Goddess

The first word uttered by the human infant is ‘Maa’. Our first relationship with the world is through the mother. She is the embodiment of love, tenderness, security and comfort and the source of all nourishment. To the infant she is indeed God.

To transfer this concept to a Cosmic Being who is the Mother of all, who nurtures and cares for all was but a step which all the ancient cultures took. Therefore the concept of the divine as the Mother is as old as life itself.

She is the eternal womb of all creatures, human, animal and sub-human. Whenever you see maternal love, in a bird or animal or human being, know it to be but a reflection of the Divine Mother’s love for her creation. She is the one who has given us birth but she is also the one who can free us from this mundane existence.

In her transcendental aspect she is Para Brahma Swaroopini or the form of the Para Brahman or the Absolute. They cannot exist separately, like the dynamo and the battery which charges it, one cannot exist without the other.

The Absolute Brahman is that which we cannot know or conceive. All that we know through our mind and senses is nothing but the manifestation of the Mother. Every conceivable form is the form of the goddess.

In essence she is nirguna or without qualities but when she manifests herself as this universe she become saguna or with form. She is Mula Prakriti or the original form of Nature.

She is the dot in the centre of energy which is the ultimate source of all the fields which western science is slowly discovering – the field of gravity, the electromagnetic field and the zero point field. Thus she is known as Parashakti or the ultimate force. Even though Einstein did not know of her as the Mother Divine, yet he dimly perceived her power and said, ‘The field is the only reality.’

4. One can either be a master of circumstances or a victim of them. If one says that he has the inspiration but has no opportunities, then that person is not sufficiently inspired. A truly inspired person will create the opportunities and charge ahead. I heard a joke recently that illustrates what I am saying. It is said that one must learn from Noah. He floated his company when the world was in liquidation!

If you are truly inspired by your work or job, then you will be totally absorbed in it, and things or events around you will not distract you. So, most importantly, you have to find that work or job which truly inspires you. Also realize that someone else cannot live your life and you cannot live someone else’s life. You must remind yourself of this and therefore commit yourself to taking charge of your life. This way you will remain focused.

5. What quality prevents life from becoming mechanical? What ingredient ignites zeal and keeps boredom at bay? Awareness. If we are constantly aware, life is always interesting

We enjoy everything for everything inspires us. Awareness is not alertness. Alertness requires effort and has an element of stress and tension. Awareness is alertness without tension. When we are in this relaxed state, zeal and interest are spontaneous.

From interest come memory and dedication. We should do nothing mechanically. Even stirring a spoon of sugar into a cup of tea should be done with complete awareness. Then there is always a deep sense of joy and connectivity with Divinity.

Awareness is a relaxed and expansive state that eliminates tension. If we are constantly aware, we give cravings no scope to take root. Even drinking a cup of tea can be done with complete awareness so that we savor every sip. Then the tea is enjoyed by the body, senses and mind. There is satisfaction and no craving.

When we fulfill a desire mechanically, the deeper levels of our being are not satisfied and we develop an obsessive craving for that object. Lack of awareness also generates indifference for others, while awareness creates complete connectivity with Divinity and all beings.

All material things lose their value after a while. Divinity never changes. God is ever the same. Divinity transcends time and space.

Awareness of Divinity takes us to the only state that is worthwhile — constant bliss that is independent of bodily existence.

6. Hinduism, which is the most skeptical and the most believing of all, the most skeptical because it has questioned and experimented the most, the most believing because it has the deepest experience and the most varied and positive spiritual knowledge, — that wider Hinduism which is not a dogma or combination of dogmas but a law of life, which is not a social framework but the spirit of a past and future social evolution, which rejects nothing but insists on testing and experiencing everything and when tested and experienced turning it to the soul's uses, in this Hinduism we find the basis of the future world-religion.

This Sanatana Dharma has many scriptures, Veda, Vedanta, Gita, Upanishad, Darshana, Purana, Tantra, nor could it reject the Bible or the Koran; but its real, most authoritative scripture is in the heart in which the Eternal has His dwelling. It is in our inner spiritual experiences that we shall find the proof and source of the world's Scriptures, the law of knowledge, love and conduct, the basis and inspiration of Karma yoga.

7. He alone is the true teacher who is illumined by the light of true knowledge.

When the jar is full, it does not make a noise anymore. So the man of realization too does not talk much. But what then about Narada and others? Yes, Narada, Sukadeva and a few others like them came down several steps after the attainment of Samadhi, and out of mercy and love they taught mankind.

Rain water falling upon the roof of a house flows down to the ground through sprouts shaped grotesquely like a tiger’s head. One gets the impression that the water comes from the tiger’s mouth, but in reality it descends from the sky. In the same way the holy teachings that come from the mouths of godly men seem to be uttered by those men themselves, while in reality they proceed from God.

Bees come of themselves to the full-blown flower when the breeze wafts its fragrance all around. Ants come of themselves to the spot where sweets are placed. No one needs to invite the bee or the ant. So when a man becomes pure and perfect, the sweet influence of his character spreads everywhere, and all who seek the Truth are naturally drawn towards him. He need not go in search of an audience to listen to him.

Source:-Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa.

8. Whatever may be the current maladies, whatever may be the dismal social situation around us, we may assure ourselves that these are only passing phases. There is enough wisdom and inspiration available in the world to take humanity on the road of man's spiritual growth…

Vedanta says: Do not stagnate. That is the only warning it gives to man; do not convert wayside rest and sleep to death, but recoup and move on.

Let the current of water flow; stagnant water is unhealthy; flowing water is pure and healthy. Human life must be a continuous unfoldment. Arrested and made stagnant at the sensate level, life ceases to be life and becomes death.

Today's human life all over the world shows the evils of such stagnation. We have to stir up the waters of life, remove the clogging materials, and make it flow on as a healthy stream of human energy, revealing greater and greater dimensions of truth, beauty, and goodness.

9. Tejo Bindu Upanishad Quotes on Jivanmukti

He who realizes I am beyond the three bodies, I am the pure consciousness and I am Brahman is said to be a Jivanmukta.
He is said to be a Jivanmukta who realizes I am of the nature of the blissful and of the supreme bliss, and I have neither body nor any other thing except the certitude ‘I am Brahman’ only.

He is said to be a Jivanmukta who has not at all got the ‘I’ in myself, but who stays in Chinmatra (absolute consciousness) alone, whose interior is consciousness alone, who is only of the nature of Chinmatra, whose Atman is of the nature of the all-full, who has Atman left over in all, who is devoted to bliss, who is undifferentiated, who is all-full of the nature of consciousness, whose Atman is of the nature of pure consciousness, who has given up all affinities (for objects), who has unconditioned bliss, whose Atman is tranquil, who has got no other thought (than Itself) and who is devoid of the thought of the existence of anything.

10. A Poem of Sant Kabir

What is seen is not the Truth
What is cannot be said
Trust comes not without seeing
Nor understanding without words
The wise comprehends with knowledge
To the ignorant it is but a wonder
Some worship the formless God
Some worship His various forms
In what way He is beyond these attributes
Only the Knower knows
That music cannot be written
How can then be the notes
Says Kabir, awareness alone will overcome illusion

Want to get Organised,Simplified & Focused towards "Success"-Read this:-

This is a wonderful time to be alive. There have never been more possibilities and opportunities for you to achieve more of your goals than exist today. As perhaps never before in human history, you are actually drowning in options. In fact, there are so many good things that you can do, that your ability to decide among them may be the critical determinant of what you accomplish in life.

If you are like most people today, you are overwhelmed with too much to do and too little time. As you struggle to get caught up, new tasks and responsibilities just keep rolling in, like the waves of the ocean. Because of this, you will never be able to do everything you have to do. You will never be caught up. You will always be behind in some of your tasks and responsibilities, and probably in many of them.

The Truth about Frogs

Mark Twain once said that if the first thing you do each morning is to eat a live frog, you can go through the day with the satisfaction of knowing that it’s the worst thing that is going to happen to you all day long.

Your “frog” is your biggest, most important task, the one you are most likely to procrastinate on if you don’t do something about it. It is also the one task that can have the greatest positive impact on your life and results at the moment. Think of this as a test. Treat it like a personal challenge, and resist the temptation to start with the easier task. If you eat it first, it’ll give you energy and momentum for the rest of the day.

Develop the Habits of Success

Your success in life and work will be determined by the kinds of habits that you develop over time. The habit of setting priorities, overcoming procrastination, and getting on with your most important task is a mental and physical skill. As such, this habit is learnable through practice and repetition, over and over again, until it locks into your subconscious mind and becomes a permanent part of your behavior. Once it becomes a habit, it becomes both automatic and easy to do.

Whenever you complete a task of any size or importance, you feel a surge of energy, enthusiasm, and self-esteem. The more important the completed task, the happier, more confident, and more powerful you feel about yourself and your world.

The completion of an important task triggers the release of endorphins in your brain. These endorphins give you a natural “high”. The endorphin rush that follows successful completion of any task makes you feel more positive, personable, creative, and confident.

The Three Ds of New Habit Formation

You need three key qualities to develop the habits of focus and concentration, which are all learnable. They are decision, discipline, and determination.

First, make a decision to develop the habit of task completion. Second, discipline yourself to practice the principles you are about to learn over and over until they become automatic. And third, back everything you do with determination until the habit is locked in and becomes a permanent part of your personality.

You have an unlimited ability to learn and develop new skills, habits, and abilities. When you train yourself, through repetition and practice, to overcome procrastination and get your most important tasks completed quickly, you will move yourself onto the fast track in your life and career and step on the accelerator.

UNLOCK THE SECRET OF MEMORY, AND A LIFE TIME GIFT................ADDED AS BONUS.

"Bring in impressions that are pure, then your mind
will RELAX."

Memory figures prominently in all practical realities
of life and plays a great role in the process of
attaining Enlightenment. From practical point of
view, if your memory is weak, you encounter many
difficulties in your work place and also in whatever
else you have to do.

Generally people are resigned to the idea that as time
passes and one ages, memory weakens. This idea is
based upon a materialistic concept of the mind. If the
mind is a product of the brain , and the brain is a
part of your physical body, then as the body ages, so
must the mind. It is quite natural, therefore,
according to this idea, to forget things as one ages.

But when you gain philosophical insight, you understand
that the mind is not the same as brain, the brain is
just a medium through which the mind operates.Mind
flows, so to speak ,through the brain as electricity
flows through a electric bulb. with this
understanding, you are more relaxed about the potential
health of your mind as the years pass by, and such
relaxation is the key to maintaining a healthy
memory.

In a world that forever presents diverse situations,
your relaxations should be unconditional, as people
generally would like to condition their relaxation-
say for instance, I shall relax if nobody says
anything bad to me,shall relax if nothing negative
happens-to go further people even say- How can I relax
when things go wrong, and scream and shout. Thinking
this way is certainly an error. You must learn to be
internally relaxed no matter what happens in life.
With this kind of relaxation, when you understand that
you are essentially the Self, and as such are not
involved in the world, your mind possesses great
potential to culture it. Your mind has the power to
maintain the health of your nervous system and mend
any damage that has been done to it. Further , when
the 'karma' that maintains your present embodiment is
over, your mind will have the power to project a whole
new body and nervous system. If you truly understand
this potentiality that lies hidden in your mind, you
would realise that you have amazing powers of mental
retention.

A healthy memory implies that you should be able to
recollect an experience from the past without
distorting it, that you recall it was. Suppose you are
thinking back to some of the wonderful days of
childhood and your mind lingers there with a sense of
nostalgia. Although you may remember many details
clearly, still your memory is weak-why, because, you
forgot the full implications of those so-called
wonderful experiences.

while you are recalling the delights of many childhood
situations that were pleasing to your mind, you are
choosing to ignore the negative feelings and
experiences that constantly frustrated you. If you had
a clear memory, you would not be fascinated by your
past, you would not want to go back to it, no matter
how wonderful it might have seemed.

Just because your memory is not clear and
comprehensive, it shows you only one aspect:"How
wonderful it was". It does not show you how helpless
and limited you were as a child. If yon have a clear
memory, however, you will remember everything in its
true perspective.

As you evolve, you learn to handle your memory
intelligently and artistically. There are certain
things that it is a virtue to forget. If some one has
harmed you, you should, with philosophical
understanding, forgive him. Each time you see him, you
should not face him with the memory of his negative
deed, rather you should face him with an open mind.
However if the level of the mental energy is lowered
due to distraction and inertia, you are drawn to
recollecting the negative happenings in your
life. When you go to sleep you start clearly
remembering those days when you were miserable, and
negative thought start pouring into your mind like
the rains of monsoon and its not healthy
memory.According to Raj Yoga ,that type of memory
creates painful thoughts-thoughts that will generate
pain and envenom your mind.

On the other hand, if you promote purity and harmony
in your mind, if the mind is harmonised through good
association,reflection and meditation,positive
memories will flourish. These are memories of your
experiences of harmony,of inner fulfilment, of divine
grace. This form of memory is highly advanced and
elevates your personality.

Devote some time every day, without fail to focusing
the mind. This is important because if you have not
dedicated time to focusing the mind or allowing your
attention to develop, then forgetfulness become
normal. When you are inattentive, you naturally
forget. When you develop a keen attention, you will not
forget the things that are important in practical
life.Concentration,meditation, repetition of
mantras, good association are all effectively related
to memory culture. In addition to keen attention, you
should also develop a clear sense of idea
association-say for example , you have to remember a
number like 539,it is helpful to build an association
with each number. If you are philosophically oriented,
you may associate the number 5 with the five elements.
Similarly, the number 3 may remind you of various
triads:there are three gunas, there is subject, object
and their interaction, there is past, present and
future. None is a number that possesses a unique
mathematical constancy, no matter by what number you
multiply it, the numbers in the product of that
multiplication add up to 9. For example:-

9x2 = 18
1+8 = 9
9x4 = 36
3+6 = 9

Similarly, if you are a student required to remember
various key points about geography, or history or any
subject, you may try to come up with a symbolic
letter that represents each point and then form those
letters into a word that you can easily remember.

Different types of jobs require different types of
memory skills.Do not make your mind into a garbage can
that keeps all types of unnecessary memories-Your
memory must be selective.Remember things that ought to
be remembered and forget things that ought to be
forgotten.Generally people do the opposite,they
remember things that are unnecessary and forget things
that are necessary and important-the net result the
life is in turmoil.

Therefore by adopting simple methods such as above, you
can train the practical aspects of your memory. But the
greater goal before you is cultivation of a
healthy,mystic memory.

What the Yogic scriptures say, let's see:-

"If the food is pure, your mind will be pure(This I
myself has written in an article posted in my blog
titled."THOUGHT MANAGEMENT- A LIFE TIME GIFT" way back
on27th Feb 2006,for the benefit of the readers.(I
would also suggest readers to read this article in
conjunction with the one I have referred to and for
the convenience of the readers,I re-produce the same
at the end of this article. Food refers not only to
the food you eat, but also the impression you gather
through your senses. If you bring in impressions that
are harmonious , if you have a life style of
uncluttered simplicity, then you are bringing in
impressions that are pure and your mind relaxes- and
in a relaxed mind you recollect, "I am Truth and not
this personality " and you begin to recollect
positive impressions and mystical experiences from
your past. This helps a person to attain intutional
revelations of the 'Self'- and this is the highest
recollection possible and with this the memory reaches
its climax, and with this all limitations are
destroyed,karmas annihilated and become "Absolute
Self".

AND NOW READ THE BONUS PART

THOUGHT MANAGEMENT: A LIFE TIME GIFT

Let me begin the topic with a stanza: -

The intake of food effects your moods and affects your
thinking
The thinking effects your mind and affects your
vibrations
The vibrations effects your path and affects your
living and
The right vibrations will lead you to right thinking
and living.

-JK-

To summaries above: -

The “inputs” determines the “output”
Have good inputs of food
Good inputs of thoughts and associations, to bring
about
Good vibrations to lead you to the right destination
of life
In the right manner and through right and righteous
path.

This is not a philosophical concept but a practical
solution for a better, harmonious and happy living.

Every thing we see and experience in today’s world is
as a result of: -

What you think
Why you think
How you think
And
When you think

Many of you must have read and studied a lot on
various topics on Management and have earned degrees
and doctorates in various subjects in management as
there are number of leading management schools and
institutes imparting coaching in management subjects
across the globe- yet it is desirable to know some
thing about” THOUGHT MANAGEMENT”

No management institutes/schools can impart coaching
in thought management for simple reason that there is
an institute of thought embedded in every human being,
generating thoughts and all that’s needed is to manage
these thoughts through channelising in the right
direction within the mind and body before braining it
out in the form of actions. That’s why it is being
emphasised that one need not attend to any management
institute/school to know and learn on THOUGHT
MANAGEMENT. It is a self-study and self-mastering
subject and once you master it you are the emperor
your kingdom (i.e. your body and mind) with all things
you would like to achieve to better your living under
your control and command.

Now before trying to manage the thoughts, let’s
understand how to create vibrant, stimulant, creative
and precious thoughts within us.

Please always remember the “inputs” determines the”
output” formula.

Morning wake-up: The way you begin your day determines
the way you live your day. The first one hour from
time you wake up little early in the morning are most
valuable moments with profound influence on the
remaining of your day and if this precious time is put
to use with wisdom and self discipline you will think
only purest of thoughts and link only the finest of
action, and at the end of this precious hour, you will
notice and rejoice to understand that you are going to
have a great and marvellous day ahead of you.

Intake of food: -Do not ever put anything less than
the best into your body while eating. This will enable
you to increase your energy level, maintain perfect
health and keeps your moods in perfect harmony. The
following items are a must in your daily diet menu: -

Fresh Fruit Juice: Start the morning with a glass of
fresh fruit juice. It Increases high-energy level
keeps you active and helps to maintain an “Offbeat”
mood.

Daily intake of normal food: Make it less greasy to
maintain a high level of motivation and effectiveness.
Add green vegetables in your daily menu-this will keep
your bodily systems light and cool. Avoid root
vegetables as far as possible (with an exception to
white and red radish) as it makes you lousy, feel
heavy and could lead to gastric related issues. Home
made fresh vegetable soups (not the one ready to boil
and use stacked in stores) recommended before supper
and to end the supper, some fresh fruits of your
choice like apple, plantain, oranges etc. This will
keep your digestive system in undisturbed condition
and you will bodily feel quite light.

Living Environment: Keep your living environment
serene and moderately creative. Get up in the morning
with good memories and experience of life. Earmark a
tiny and cozy corner exclusively for you without any
interference and disturbance (could be in a corner of
your bedroom, living room or prayer room) for
concentration and meditation. This place must be put
to its desired use twice in a day first thing in the
morning as you wake up and last thing i.e. before you
retire to sleep. Now coming to meditation, according
to me there is no hard and fast rule, as so many
teachers/tutors of meditation has devised their own
methods- ultimately it is gradually and in a phased
manner bringing your concentration to the focal point
between the center of your two eye brows (called
meditation point) keeping in mind a divine/serene
object and slowly bringing to the meditation (focal)
point, retain it there as long as you are able to and
then relax mentally and bodily. You will have a
feeling of floating with no feeling of body weight.
For sitting posture too, there is no hard and fast
rule as it depends upon physical /health conditions,
age factors etc. What matters are concentration, focus
and keeping up of regular timings and these cannot be
subject to any compromise.

Maintain good and friendly association so that it
matches for you to achieve your life’s goal. Change
yourself to circumstances and environments rather than
trying the other way.

Work place: You spent a quite a lot of your time in
the work place and therefore it is essential that this
place remains conducive and congenial to work.
Maintain excellent rapport and relationship with all
i.e. your sub-ordinates, colleagues, and superiors and
boss- in spite of what they are and what moods they
are in. Always bear in mind that you have taken steps
to change your way of living for good and not to
change others minds and moods. At the end of the day
you must return home happy contended and justified
with your actions and reactions at work place.

Back home to be with your lovable and loving ones:
Once you are back home after completing the hectic
commitments of the work place, it is essential and be
prepared to have an interactive session with your
family members. Narrate your days experience/incidents
with your wife and child (ren), get feed back from
them, Ascertain from them their homely/work
place/school/college experience and place your
suggestions and opinions if they need from you.
Discuss your and their future plans and visions and
find a way out to reach the goals set forth by every
one in your family (Mind you that this is also a team
work and effort and not from commercial /trade point
of view but purely from bonded blood knit relationship
scenario) Keep in mind that a meal a day together with
your family members should form a habit-come what may
and this together eating meal should be filled with
fun and enjoyment. Otherwise what’s the purpose behind
life and living, supposed to be with caring and
sharing? Please do not make your life with mundane
hectic and herculean activities unrelated to family
relationships, affinity and harmonious living. Please
ensure to spend at least an hour after joint dinner
with your family, (particularly with your wife and
child (ren), engaging all of them in useful and
fruitful discussions relating to present and future.

With the above suggested principles and activities, in
routine manner good thoughts will be generated in the
mind for simple reasons that you have tuned your body
and mind in perfectly good harmony.

Now we are coming to the fag end of the subject i.e.
how to retain and manage such good thoughts. Adhere to
the following guideline principles in your day-to-day
living and experience the amazing and marvellous
changes that will shake up your undesirable and
unwanted thoughts and wake up memorable and good
thoughts.

Do not lose the touch with the purpose of living.
Do not lose touch with harmony.
Do not lose touch with humanity.
Do not forget what good, life is all about.
Do not forget to have amity and happiness with your
near and dear
Ones.
Do not find fault with others, instead rectify the
faults in you.
Accept all that comes to your life as it is, without
grudge or greed.

And last but not least

Count your blessings and not disguise.

Verses from Four Vedas: -

1. Rig Veda:-

May Heaven and Earth, twin objects of men's praises, bless and attend me with their help and favor, to the liberal God-fearer grant greater riches! May we be strong, O Gods, nourished on plenty?

With wisdom have I now uttered this truth, calling, for all to hear, on Earth and Heaven? Guard us from every fault and erring course; like father and mother succor and protect us.

Fulfill, O Heaven and Earth, this my prayer, with which, O Father and Mother, I now address you. Be of all Gods the nearest with your favors, in order that we may savor your quickening food.

Shine brightly, Agni, and chase away our sin; beam down upon us grace. May the Lord burn away our sin!

We make our offering to you for fruitful fields and pleasant homes. May the Lord burn away our sin?

May he and our elders who worship surpass all others who sing your praises! May the Lord burn away our sin!

May high priests spring from you, O Lord! May we also be born again in you! May the Lord burn away our sin!

The Lord's all-conquering beams go far; his face shines bright on every side. May the Lord burn away our sin!

Your face is turned toward every side. Everywhere you pass the all-protecting. May the Lord burn away our sin!

O God, whose face shines every side, conveys us safely as in a boat. May the Lord burn away our sin!

And when it appears that in deep sleep it does not taste, yet it tastes though it does not taste; for there is no cessation of the tasting of the taster, because the taster is imperishable. There is then, however, no second thing separate from the taster that it could taste.

2. Yajur Veda:-

And when it appears that in deep sleep it does not speak, yet it is speaking though it does not speak; for there is no cessation of the speaker is imperishable. There is then, however, no second thing separate from the speaker that it could speak about.
And when it appears that in deep sleep it does not hear, yet it is hearing though it does not hear; for there is no cessation of the hearing of the hearer, because the hearer is imperishable. There is then, however, no second thing separate from the hearer that it could hear.

And when it appears that in deep sleep it does not think, yet it is thinking though it does not think; for there is no cessation of the thinking of the thinker, because the thinker is imperishable. There is then, however, no second thing separate from the thinker that it could think of.

And when it appears that in deep sleep it does not touch, yet it is touching though it does not touch; for there is no cessation of the touching of the touchier, because the touchier is imperishable. There is then, however, no second thing separate from the touchier that it could touch.

3. Sama Veda:

He who meditates on hope as Brahman-all his desires are fulfilled through hope, his prayers are not in vain; he can, of his own free will, reach as far as hope reaches-he who meditates on hope as Brahman. Narada said: Venerable Sir, is there anything greater than hope? Of course there is something greater than hope. Please tell that to me, venerable Sir.

The PRANA is, verily, greater than hope. As the spokes of a wheel are fastened to the nave, so are all these beginning with the name and ending with hope fastened to the prana. The prana moves by the prana. The prana gives the prana to the prana. The prana is the father, the prana is the mother, the prana is the brother, the prana is the sister, the prana is the teacher, and the prana is the Brahmin.

If one says something unbecoming to a father, mother, brother, sister, teacher, or Brahmin, then people say: 'Shame on you! Verily, you are a slayer of your father, a slayer of your mother, a slayer of your brother, a slayer of your sister, a slayer of your teacher, a slayer of a Brahmin.'

But if; when the prana has departed from them, one shoves them together with a poker and burns every bit of them, no one would say: 'You are a slayer of your father, a slayer of your mother, a slayer of your brother, a slayer of your sister, a slayer of your teacher, a slayer of a Brahmin.

The prana, verily, is all this. He (i.e. the knower of the prana) who sees this, reflects on this, is convinced of this, becomes an ativadi (superior speaker). If people say to such a man: 'You are an ativadi,' he may say: 'Yes, I am an ativadi'; he need not deny it.

4. Adharva Veda:-
Power entered within him. He is the One, the one fold, the only One. In him all the Gods become unified
Know, O people, a mighty mystery, about to be proclaimed-- that which is not found on earth or in heaven, that by which the plants breathe
In space is their stay, like a platform for the wearied, the place of support for all that is. This the wise know-- or perhaps they do not?
That which the trembling worlds and the earth together created is now in perpetual movement, like the streams of the mighty ocean.
The one has encompassed all; it is established upon the other. To Heaven and to Earth, which possesses all things, I have offered my worship
I offer a song to this God, Inspirer of heaven and earth, surpassingly wise, possessed of real energy, giver of treasure, dear to all hearts
His splendor extends far and wide; his light shines brightly in creation. He traverses the sky, golden-handed, measuring the heaven by his appearance, full of wisdom!
It was you, God, who inspired our father of old, granting him space above and on all sides. May we too enjoy day by day your blessings and life abound
This Inspirer God, the Friend whom we adore, has bestowed on our Fathers life, power, and riches. Let him drink Soma, rejoicing in our offerings. In his Law walks the pilgrim!

The Point Of Conception:-

The point of conception is the apex of creation. At what point do we conceive, and how do we create? Let's expand our consciousness, really expand our consciousness, and begin to know that creation is merely recognizing what is already there--that there is nothing new; everything is within you and it is portrayed on the outside as you become aware that it is already created, finished, within you.

What makes the point of conception the apex of creation? It is the story of you. Expand your consciousness to take in the sun, the moon, the planets, the Earth, everyone. And when your limited consciousness focuses upon one thing, you say, "There is the sun, and in a few hours I will see the moon." And in a few hours you do see the moon. You are the creator, but you only create to the lower realms of the mind. Everything is within you: the sun, the moon, the planets, all of the people functioning through all their different states of consciousness, all of the various manifestations of form. They are all within you.

As you become aware of one thing at a time, you are really creating it into the lower realms of your mind. You are translating it into the lower realms of your mind. Your recognition of what is is the way you create it to yourself. This is deep. This is in the realm of contemplation. And only in the realm of contemplation will you begin to conceive of it.

Those of you who have had the power enough to concentrate enough of the mind in order to contemplate should begin to be very godlike in your everyday life. You should work very, very hard to do each thing perfectly that you do in your conscious mind, to finish each job, and to have consideration for others at all times. That will take you into the next stages of contemplation.

When we become careless in our lower realms of the mind after having reached contemplation, we use that great God-power in a negative way and build great barriers within ourselves that hold us in the lower realms of the mind. But when we strive diligently to perfect devotion, which is bhakti, to perfect service, which is karma yoga, at all times--twenty-four hours a day, the vigil is--then we release barriers, barriers that we are going to meet perhaps next year or the year after. We burn up and clean up karma that will come even in your next life. And you go from one stage of contemplation and become stable in the next stage of contemplation, until you begin to live on the very brink of the Absolute. And it's on the brink of the Absolute that you can begin to realize that the point of conception is the very apex of creation. You realize all form, and then you realize formlessness.

The struggle with the mind is an easy struggle if you are constantly vigilant, all of the time, doing always what you know you should do, not allowing the mind to become instinctive, not excusing the mind when it does become instinctive, not allowing the mind to justify, rationalize, excuse, become combative, but making the mind always remain poised, like a hummingbird over a flower, so that you begin to live in the eternal now, constantly, permanently. And then the within becomes natural to you, not something you hear about, study about, talk about, sing about, for you become open, awakened, within.
