Is Dr. Manmohan Singh Guilty?.............YES

Is Dr. Singh guilty?

we have been deluged with details of the 2G spectrum scam. Every channel worth its salt has aired innumerable talk shows and discussions on this mother of all scams. On the one hand Subramanyam Swamy is accusing Dr. Manmohan Singh of refusing to act on his petition to prosecute Andimuthu Raja, and on the other we have the congress spokespersons eulogizing the Government’s morality sacking in Raja.
All this reminds of a Vikramaditya and the Betal story I read years ago.

Once there lived an old and pious man, renowned for his honesty. One day his neighbor, a rich merchant comes to him with a request. The merchant was leaving on a voyage and wants the old man to safeguard his wealth, until his return. The old man agrees and, with God as witness, promises to protect and safeguard the merchant’s wealth.

The old man then entrusts the safe keep of the merchant’s wealth to his son, from whom he takes an oath of propriety and honesty. Slowly the son starts dipping into the merchant's wealth, people notice this and warn the old man of the son’s misdeeds. The old man calls his son, asks him to explain, and also reminds him of his oath on following the right path. The son rubbishes the accusations as rumors and the idle gossip of jealous people, who could not bear to see his prosperity. The old man accepts the son’s explanation and things go on as before.

The merchant returns and demands his wealth. The old man calls his son, who hands over a quarter of the merchant’s wealth saying that is all there was. The merchant, realizing that he has been cheated, approaches the King. The King listens to the merchant’s complaint and summons the old man. The old man comes to the court with his son and, handing him over to the King, says “your majesty, the merchant is right. My son has confessed to the crime. Please punish him.”

The king has the son flogged and imprisoned. He then praises the old man's honesty and dismisses the case. But the merchant demands punishment for the old man saying, “I have still not received justice. I had entrusted my wealth to the old man which he swore by God to safeguard. The old man’s integrity is intact, but what of me, I have been robbed of my life’s savings, and made a pauper. It was the old man’s decision to entrust my wealth to the son for safe keeping. As far as I am concerned the old man is the culprit, and should be punished.

The king is astounded by this demand. The old man was neither a party to the theft nor did he benefit from it. In fact, he had sent his son to jail. Yet, the merchant was asking for the old man’s punishment.

The Betal asks Vikramaditya, “What should be the King's decision.”

Vikramaditya’s replies, “Though the old man is innocent of the actual theft,
he is guilty of dereliction of duty.
The son’s crime was a straight forward one, the old man’s was a graver crime.
He did nothing to protect the merchant’s wealth.
Far from being vigilant, he failed to take action even when he was warned of his son’s misdeeds. Because of his laxity, the merchant is condemned to a life of penury.
He should be punished.”

India - 2010 : Dr. Manmohan Singh, esteemed economist, former Governor of RBI, Deputy Chairman of Planning Commission, former Finance Minister, a man whose personal ethics and integrity are unblemished, takes oath to protect and safeguard the Nation and its assets. He appoints Raja, as his Cabinet Minister for IT & Telecom.

Raja the Telecom Minister has with him keys to the
2G spectrum - a finite and precious National asset.
Raja flouts all rules of propriety and transparency in Government, and in violation of his oath of office, sells the spectrum at a throw away price of Rs.1651 crore.

 1. DoT with Raja at its helm issues an astounding 120 UAS licenses in a single day, January 10, 2008. A feat unsurpassed in the history of Government anywhere in the world. Suspiciously 85 of these licenses are issued to companies which suppressed facts, disclosed incomplete information and submitted fictitious documents.

 2. In issuing these licenses neither the High Powered Telecom Commission, which was expressly set up for this nor the Finance Ministry or the Ministry of Law and Justice are consulted. Vital decisions are taken without being deliberated and discussed at inter ministerial forums.

 3. In sharp deviation of business practice, the cut off date for receiving applications gets advanced from Sep 25  ,2007 to Oct 1, , 2007, violating all canons of fair play and ethics.

 4. Real estate companies which till date of application had no interest in Telecom are allotted Licenses and spectrum ahead of genuine applicants. These then go on to reap windfalls from foreign players by selling equity.

Unlike the story, this heist of a precious national asset is carried out in full view of Dr. Manmohan Singh and his cabinet colleagues. Newspapers across the country cry out at this outrage in front page headlines.

Dr. Man Mohan Singh could have at any time stopped this heist of a National asset, yet he chose to remain silent. The Minister’s failure to exercise his constitutional rights has caused irreparable loss to the Nation.

. Like the old man, he has sacked Raja from his ministerial berth, but does his culpability end there.

Does dismissing Raja absolve Dr. Singh or like the old man is he guilty of dereliction of duty and failure to safeguard the Nation and its citizens. Does he deserve punishment?
It is for the Indian citizen to decide. .................................................
And here goes  my opinion........................
My reply as follows...........................................................
Govt/President of India must use their consitutional powers vested on them. They have been voted to power and position to protect the interest of INDIA and its CITIZENS irrespective of Caste, creed, colour or postion HELD BY THE PEIPLE OF INDIA....................

AND IN THIS CASE ( in mother of all scams FEW  FATHERS ARE ALSO INVOLVED and must be implicated and booked  and the list doest not spare MAN MOHANSINGH AND CHIDAMBARAM  WHO ARE ANSWERABLE, ACCOUNTABLE  & RESPONSIBLE TO INDIAN TAXPAYERS MONEY AND TO BE HELD RESPONSIBLE..............................SO THE GOVT/JUDICIARY TO TAKE ALL CORRECTIVE STEPS TO  TO PUT ALL INVOLVED INCLUDING PM/FM BUREAUCRATS ETC. TO GIVE COMPANY  TO A RAJA IN THIHAR ENCLAVE..............
JK

The people of India had entrusted their faith and the future of the Nation in Dr. Manmohan Singh, believing him to be a man of integrity and honesty, and not to Raja.

Dr. Singh did not profit personally from Raja’s shenigans, but his failure to act, to honor the oath of office, to protect and safeguard the nation and its wealth is unforgivable

The Indian Constitution grants the Prime Minister absolute power in running the country. He is the head of the Government and the Union Cabinet functions at his pleasure. As per the Transaction of Business Rules the Prime Minister has the unrestricted right to demand and get any file, any record from any Ministry.

Indian National Anthem...........Facts to know

'Jana Gana Mana'

- Just a thought for the National Anthem! How well do you
know it?

Our national anthem, 'Jana Gana Mana', is sung throughout the country. Did you know the following about it?
I didn't. I have always wondered who is the 'Adhinayak'and 'Bharat Bhagya Vidhata', whose praise we are singing. I have always thought it might be Motherland India!

To begin with, Jana Gana Mana, was written by Rabindranath Tagore in honor of King George V and the Queen of England when they visited India in 1919. To honour their visit, Pandit Motilal Nehru had five stanzas included that are in praise of the King and Queen. (And most of us think it is in praise of our great motherland.)

In the original Bengali verses only those provinces that were under British rule, i.e., Punjab, Sindh,Gujarat, Maratha were mentioned. None of the princely states, which are integral parts of India now, such as Kashmir, Rajasthan, Andhra, Mysore and Kerala, were recognized.

Neither the Indian Ocean nor the Arabian Sea were included
because they were directly under Portuguese rule at that time.
Jana Gana Mana implies that King George V is the lord of the masses and Bharata Bhagya Vidhata, or 'the bestower of good fortune'.

Here is a translation of the five stanzas that glorify the King.
Stanza 1: The (Indian) people wake up remembering your good name and ask for your blessings and they sing your glories (Tava shubha name jaage; tava shubha aashish maage, gaaye tava jaya gaatha)

Stanza 2: Around your throne, people of all religions come and give their love and anxiously wait to hear your kind words.

Stanza 3: Praise to the King for being the charioteer, for leading the ancient travellers beyond misery.

Stanza 4: Drowned in deep ignorance and suffering, this poverty stricken, unconscious country? Waiting for the wink of your eye and our mother's (the Queen's) true protection.

Stanza 5: In your compassionate plans, the sleeping Bharat (India) will wake up. We bow down to your feet, O Queen, and glory to Rajeshwara (the King).

This whole poem does not indicate any love for the Motherland, but depicts a bleak picture of it. When you sing Jana Gana Mana, whom are you glorifying? Certainly not the motherland. Is it God? The poem does not indicate that. It is time now to understand the original purpose and the implication of this, rather than blindly sing as has been done the past 60 years.

Maybe we should shift to Vande Mataram or Saare Jahan Se Achcha,
which are far better compositions in praise of India.

Please don't break the chain -- let's see how many people get to know about this.

BE PROUD TO BE INDIAN.....................................................

And here goes my comments................................

An excellent one. In fact I myself was not aware of the meaning of our NATIONAL SONG.

Its high time some intellectual people re-compose the National Antham afresh apprppriately. What our North Indian/Sanskrit schlars doing all these yeras ?????? DUMP.&DEAF........Why this did not strike their mind?

One thing what I had bee oberving was  we are too good at copying western styles and thats how the titles like VP/SVP/CEO/CFO ec. etc. and like many othrs came into our country's commer ialorganisation marring Indian cultur and tradition i many ways.

Do not argue with Ladies.........................

I am sure that the taxi cab driver learnt that it pays to keep
your mouth shut is some situations

A woman and her ten-year-old son were riding in a taxi in Montreal.

It was raining and all the prostitutes were standing under the
awnings.

"Mom" said the boy "what are all those women doing?"

"They're waiting for their husbands to get off work" she
replied.

The taxi driver turns around and says "Geez lady, why don't you
tell him the truth? They're hookers, boy! They have sex with men for money."

The little boy's eyes get wide and he says "Is that true Mom?"

His mother, glaring hard at the driver, answers in the
affirmative.

After a few minutes, the kid asks "Mom, what happens to the
babies those women have?"
"Most of them become taxi drivers" she said.

It was a Sports Stadium. Eight Children were standing on the track to participate in a running event. Ready! Steady! Bang !!! With the sound of Toy pistol, All eight girls started running. Hardly had they covered ten to fifteen steps, when one of the smaller girls slipped and fell down, Due to bruises and pain she started crying. When the other seven girls heard the little girl cry they stopped running, stood for a while and turned back. Seeing the girl on the track they all ran to help.
One among them bent down, picked her up and kissed her gently And enquired as to how she was.. They then lifted the fallen girl pacifying her. Two of them held her firmly while all seven joined hands together and walked together towards the winning post........ . There was pin drop silence at the spectator's stand. Officials were shocked. Slow claps multiplied to thousands as the spectators stood up in appreciation. Many eyes were filled with tears And perhaps even God's!

Please solve this family problem as stated below:........................ *Two men met at a bus stop and struck up a conversation. One of them kept complaining of family problems. Finally the other man said: "You think you have family problems? Listen to my situation. A few years ago I met a young widow with a grown up daughter. We got married and I got myself a step-daughter. Later, my father married my step-daughter. That made my step daughter my step-mother. And my fatherbecame my step-son. Also my wife became mother-in-law of her father-in-law. Much later the daughter of my wife, my step-mother, had a son. This boy was my half brother because he was my father's son. But he was also the son of my wife's daughter which made him my wife's grand-son. That made me the grandfather of my half brother. This was nothing until my wife and I had a son. Now the half sister of my son, my step-mother, is also his grandmother. This makes my father the brother-in-law of my child, whose step-sister is my father's wife. I am my step-mother's brother-in-law, my wife is her own child's aunt, my son is my father's nephew and I am my OWN GRAND FATHER!!!!!!!!!! And you think[b] you have FAMILY PROBLEMS?????
Golden truths - of course, some may not agree on some... To each, his/her own.. No malice intended or meant, plz... [1] Regular naps prevent old age, especially if you take them while driving. [2] Having one child makes you a parent; having two you are a referee. [3] Marriage is a relationship in which one person is always right and the other is the husband! [4] I believe we should all pay our tax with a smile. I tried - but they wanted cheque. [5] A child's greatest period of growth is the month after you've purchased new school uniforms. [6] Don't feel bad. A lot of people have no talent. [7] Don't marry the person you want to live with, marry the one you cannot live without, but whatever you do, you'll regret it later. [8] You can't buy love, but you pay heavily for it. [9] Bad officials are elected by good citizens who do not vote. [10] Laziness is nothing more than the habit of resting before you get tired. [11] Marriage is give and take. You'd better give it to her or she'll take it anyway. [12] My wife and I always compromise. I admit I'm wrong and she agrees with me. [13] Those who can't laugh at themselves leave the job to others. [14] Ladies first. Pretty ladies sooner. [15] A successful marriage requires falling in love many times, always with the same person. [16] You're getting old when you enjoy remembering things more than doing them. [17] It doesn't matter how often a married man changes his job, he still ends up with the same boss. [18] Real friends are the ones who survive transitions between address books. [19] Saving is the best thing. Especially when your parents have done it for you. [20] Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools talk because they have to say something [21] They call our language the mother tongue because the father seldom gets to speak! [22] Man: Is there any way for long life? Dr: Get married. Man: Will it help? Dr: No, but then the thought of long life will never come. [23] Why do couples hold hands during their wedding? It's a formality just like two boxers shaking hands before the fight begins! [24] Wife: Darling today is our anniversary, what should we do? Husband: Let us stand in silence for 2 minutes.. [25] It's funny when people discuss Love Marriage vs Arranged. It's like asking someone, if suicide is better or being murdered. [26] There is only one perfect child in the world and every mother has it. [27] There is only one perfect wife in the world and every neighbor has it!

Salute to Women........................

The Woman................................. When God created woman he was working later on the 6th day. An angel came by and said: "Why spend so much time on that one?" And the Lord answered: "Have you seen all the specifications I have to meet to shape her? She must be washable, but not made of plastic, have more than 200 moving parts which all must be replaceable and she must function on all kinds of food, she must be able to embrace several kids at the same time, give a hug that can heal anything from a bruised knee to a broken heart and she must do all this with only two hands." The angel was impressed. "Just two hands...impossible! And this is the standard model? Too much work for one day...wait until tomorrow and then complete her." "I will not", said the Lord. "I am so close to completing this creation, which will be the favorite of my heart. She cures herself when sick and she can work 18 hours a day." The angel came nearer and touched the woman. "But you have made her so soft, Lord." "She is soft", said the Lord, "But I have also made her strong. You can't imagine what she can endure and overcome." "Can she think?" the angel asked. The Lord answered: "Not only can she think, she can reason and negotiate." The angel touched the woman's cheek. "Lord, it seems this creation is leaking! You have put too many burdens on her." "She is not leaking...it's a tear" the Lord corrected the angel. "What's it for?" asked the angel. And the Lord said, "Tears are her way of expressing grief, her doubts, her love, her loneliness, her suffering and her pride." This made a big impression on the angel; "Lord, you are genius. You thought of everything. The woman is indeed marvelous!" "Indeed she is! Woman has strengths that amaze man. She can handle trouble and carry heavy burdens. She holds happiness, love and opinions. She smiles when feeling like screaming. She sings when she feels like crying, cries when she is happy and laughs when she is afraid. She fights for what she believes in. Stands up against injustice. She doesn't take "no" for an answer, when she can see a better solution. She gives herself so her family can thrive. She takes her friend to the doctor if she is afraid. Her love is unconditional. She cries when her kids are victorious. She is happy when her friends do well. She is glad when she hears of a birth or a wedding. Her heart is broken when a next of kin or friend dies. But she finds the strength to get on with life. She knows that a kiss and a hug can heal a broken heart. There is only one thing wrong with her… "SHE FORGETS WHAT SHE IS WORTH

Most men like women. But,!!!!!!!!!

Most men like women. But,!!!!!!!!! A lighter Vein READ ONLY PLEASE without any offence.

Most men like women. But, most men like beer too ! So, for men it becomes a rather confusing choice between women and beer !

Following is a debate, developed by the University of Mumbai, India.... to help you analyze which is better ! Here is the debate .......

A Beer is always wet, a woman is not ! 1 point for beer !

Beer is horrible, when it is hot ! 1 point for women !

A cold beer, satisfies you !1 point for beer !

If you come back home smelling beer, your wife can get angry at you. If you come back home smelling women, your wife will get angry for sure and she might even not talk to you again ! Draw !

10 beers in a night and then you can't drive. 10 women in one night and you don't have to drive anywhere ! 1 point for women !

The older, The beer is - the better, it is ! 1 point for beer !

Many beers can make you see UFO's. Many women can make you see God ! 1 point for women !

If you ask yourself how the next woman will be, you are normal. If you ask yourself how the next beer will be, you are an alcoholic ! 1 point for women !

For a beer, you pay taxes ! 1 point for women !

If you take a second beer, the first one doesn't get angry ! 1 point for beer !

You can always be sure that, you are the first one " Opening " a beer !(hahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!kamine) 1 point for beer !

If you shake a beer, after a while it calms down by itself ! 1 point for beer !

You know exactly how much a beer costs ! 1 point for beer !

A beer does not have a mother ! 1 point for beer !

You can do it if you want, but beer won't ask you to hug her for half an hour after ! 1 point for beer !

So the Score is .......... Beer beats women - 9 to 6 ! If you are a woman reading this and getting angry ........ know that a beer would never get angry ! So ..........

Another point for beer ! Now the final score is .......... Beer beats women - 10 to 6

Transmuting Will Power......................

Transmuting Willpower.....................................................

Willpower is a pranic force which exudes out of the manipura chakra. This energy, when directed downward, can be used up through excessive reason, excessive memorization, fear and amplification of fears, anger, the perpetuation of resentment without resolution, amplified by instinctive jealousies, all of which eventually dissipate the semi-divine energy of willpower and eventually close the manipura chakra. But when this same energy of willpower is upwardly directed, it pulls memory into a purified memory, making it forget what has to be forgotten, namely wrong knowledge, and remember what has to be remembered--siddhanta, the final conclusions of the rishis who live within the sahasrara chakra, the siddhas who are contacted through great tapas.

There is no reason to believe that developing and unfolding the ten petals of the manipura chakra comes easily. To develop an indomitable will capable of the accomplishments needed as a prerequisite to make the upward climb to the anahata, vishuddha, ajna and sahasrara chakras, and to sustain the benign attitudes of humility, is certainly not an easy task. But it comes naturally to one who has attained such in prior lifetimes, an older soul, I would say. Fulfilling each task one has begun, putting the cap back on the toothpaste tube after squeezing the toothpaste on the brush, the little things, and perfecting the yamas and the niyamas, especially contentment, austerity, giving, faith and regular worship, builds this indomitable will. These are mini-sadhanas one can perform on his own without the guidance of a guru. Yes, it is the little things that build the indomitable will that dominates the external intellect, its memory and reason abilities, and the
instinctive impulses of fear, anger and jealousy. Doing this is just becoming a good person.

Willpower is the muscle of the mind. We lift weights, exercise, run a mile, all to develop the muscles of the physical body. The more we perform these practices, the more muscular we become. The process of strain reshapes the cellular properties and the structure of the muscles. Intermittent rest allows them to build up double. Strong muscles appear on the body as a result. The manipura chakra is the sun center of the physical body and of the astral body, the place where all nerve currents of these two bodies meet and merge. It emanates the power of life. It is the seat of fire, the agni homa. It is the bridge between the ultimate illumination and a prolonged, ongoing, intellectual processing of ideas, coupled with instinctive willfulness. Let there be no mistake, we must get beyond that by transmuting this tool, willpower, into mati, cognition, where its energies are usable yet benign. Therefore, the more you use your personal, individual willpower in
your religious service, in your business life, your personal life, your home life, your temple life, in fulfilling all the yamas and niyamas, the more willpower you have. It is an accumulative, ever-growing bank account.

Of course, you can lose some of it through lapses into fear, anger and jealousy, just as in an economic depression one loses money. But you can also court an inflation by seeking higher consciousness in the vishuddha chakra of divine love through the anahata chakra of direct cognition, through understanding the oneness of a well-ordered, just universe, both inner and outer.

Divine Source.

If between friends and partners we were geese..............

.Ah!

The next season, when you see the geese migrating, going to a warmer place,
to sort the winter...

Pay attention that they fly in a “V” formation Maybe you will be interested in knowing

Why they do it this way...................

By flying in a “V” formation....The whole flock increases the flight efficiency by 71% Compared to just one bird flying alone.

Lesson 1:

Sharing the same direction and working as a team, get us to the destination quicker and easier. By helping ourselves, the accomplishments are greater!.

When a goose leaves the formation..He feels the resistance of the air and the difficulties of flying alone....Then, he quickly comes back to the formation to take advantage of the the flock’s power in front of him ..

Lesson 2:

By staying in tune and united beside those who are going in the same direction, the effort will be less. It will be easier and pleasing to reach the goals,

Everyone will be inclined to accept and give help. When the leader goose gets tired of flying...... He goes to the end of the “V” formation. While another goose takes the lead.

Lesson 3:

To share the leadership,There must be mutual respect between us all the time...Sharing the hardest problems and tasks..Gathering our abilities and combining our faculties, talents and resources….

The geese flying on a “V” formation, they quack
to encourage to the ones in the front. In that way, they keep the same speed.

Lesson 4:

When there is courage and encouragement, the progress is greater..A timely word of encouragement, always motivates, helps and strengthens..It produces the best of benefits...

When a goose gets sick, is injured or gets tired ,And he must leave the formation...Other geese leave the formation too,and they fly with him to help him outand protect him. They remain with him until he dies or he is able to fly again. They reach their bevy or they just make another “V” formation.

Lesson 5:

Let’s stay beside each other no matter what the differences.Specially in times of difficulty and great challenges..If we bond together and support each other..If we make true the spirit of teamwork..Regardless of our differences, we can rise to meet our challenge. If we are aware of the feeling of sharing............................

LIFE WILL BE EASIER AND THE PASSING OF YEARS...............................................

MORE FULFILLING ..MY FRIENDS AND PARTNERS...LET’S BE LIKE THE GEESE!!!
