Multiplication By 11
To multiply a two-digit number by 11, simply add the two digits and insert the result in between.
For example to multiply 23 by 11, add 2 and 3 which equals 5 and insert 5 between the 2 and 3 the answer is 253.
To multiply 35 by 11, add 3 and 5, which equals 8, and insert 8 between the 3 and 5 answer is 385.

And you know the answers….
Now, there must be question in your mind that here the two digit are added equals to digit below 9 but what do we do if total is above 10?
Simple, if resultant digit is above 10 then insert the units digit of the result between the digit and carry the one to the first digit of the answer.
For instance, to multiply 28 by 11, add 2 and 8, which equals 10. Insert the 0 of units place between 2 and 8 and carry the 1 to the first digit 2 so as to give answer of 308.
Let’s try one more 88 X 11
8+8=16
Insert 6 between 8 and 8, to give 868 and then add 1 to the first digit 8 to give answer 968.
Multiplying Two Numbers which have same tens digits and whose unit digit adds to ten.
If you want to multiply 13 by 17, you will observe that tens digit is same and the units digit adds to 10.
First multiply the tens digit with one more than itself, that means adding one to tens digit we get 1+1 that is 2, multiply 1 by 2 to get 2 this will be your hundreds digit.
Next multiply unit digit 3 by 7 to get 21 therefore the answer is 221.
Let’s try one more 62 X 68
6 X 7 = 42 and 2 X 8 = 16 therefore the answer is 4216.
