Its all about Leadership

It is all about Leadership

I would like to begin the subject with a quote and hopefully believe it has some relevance to leadership.

“Nothing splendid has ever been achieved except by those who dared to believe that something inside them was superior to circumstance.”

Leaders should perceive rightly if they wish to lead effectively and efficiently. In other words- What you sow, so you reap.”- Therefore sow right seeds and reap right harvest.

Some people have a pre-conceived notion that Leaders are made-up of desires only and not of actions. But the truth is, as is his (Leader) desire, so is his will, as his will so is his deed. He does as per his deed, A Good leader’s perception is truly a powerful tool. As a matter of fact an effective leader perceives things differently from the rest. As opportunities comes in many forms and channels, it’s for the leader to avail the moment and perceive the opportunity- Never give scope in becoming victims of circumstances –that’s not leadership.

The word perception origins from the Latin word “perception” , means “receiving, collecting, action of taking possession, apprehension with mind or senses”. Thereby it goes without saying that all of us gather perceptual information about various matters, interact with in our mind and express it through our actions. Therefore perceptual information is critical and any deficiency in the perceptual thinking will end in incorrect/insufficient actions, leading to obstacle to success.-to put it as a quote:-

“Success is a matter of perception as well reflection.”

What many consider being success (unrealistic) can leave one to feel frustrated and disgusted and the reasons could be due to wrong perceptions and the results of its reflections, and succumbing to unnecessary and avoidable pressures arising out of such perceptions and reflections. It is therefore advised and desired to view things from other’s point of view too before coming to any conclusions.- A good leader should possess the qualities to view things from others point of view and always accepts his is not only the view and the whole view.

Every one at some point of their lives inevitably will face adversities- See it as a polishing stone to polish you and make you shine rather than viewing it with negative aspects,as its not going to help a person in any way whatsoever- Learn to handle such situation with a “Leader like Quality” and this again depends upon how your perceive matters. I shall site few examples and have absolute belief in these real life examples-

1.Beethoven composed his great works after becoming DEAF

2.Sir Walter Raleigh wrote the history of the world during a 13 year of imprisonment.

3.Columbus did not turn back, in spite of constant adversities, he faced but he endured it.

4.Abraham Lincoln achieved greatness and exhibited his wisdom during g the devastation of the civil war.

Always bear in mind the following fact:-

“Every one of us are blessed with the ability to succeed in life and reach our mission, yet at times our own imperfection, inadequacies, flaws, set-backs, obstacles etc., that we come across causes us to create unwanted pressure on ourselves giving way to a sort of helplessness situation- It’s wrong, Mind you, your thoughts and perceptions are sharper and mightier than the platinum edged sharp Sword. Dear perceiving things positively by all means will bring out Success, but if it is otherwise (negatively) will guarantee failures.

To be a Good Leader means, To have absolute belief “I can do it” & “I will do it”.(Late) John F Kennedy, the former president of United States was an excellent examples of a Good Leader and its because of his right perception and belief that man could for the first time put his foot on the moon.

John F Kennedy said, while addressing the nation on one occasion “Some look at the moon and ask why? I look at the moon and ask Why not?.

See the amount of unmatching perception and belief he had in him and that really worked out. With such kind of strong perception and belief one can convert” Impossible into Possible”- One of the finer qualities of Leadership.

It is often said to kindle, Leaders:-

1. What you perceive, accordingly you think.

2. What you think, accordingly you act,

3. The way you act, you behave

And

4. The way you behave defines and shapes your character to be a Good Leader.

In other words, “What you sow, so you reap” and keeping this in mind, it is said:-

"Winners look for only opportunities while losers look for only excuses."

“POWER OF BELIEF& POWERFUL BELIEF” That’s Colin Powell

Mr. Oran Harari in his recent book on" Leadership Secrets of Colin Powell "has mentioned:-

Optimism is a force multiplier. The ripple effect of a leader’s enthusiasm and optimism is awesome, so is the impact of cynicism and pessimism. i.e. the power of one’s belief and ability to communicate that belief to influence is simply awesome.

Few more leadership tips before I wind up this writing:-

Opt:-

To see opportunity instead of catastrophe

Perceive and see things carefully and positively.

To choose to believe in the impossible in order to experience “All that is possible.”

AND

"The man who wins is the man who “thinks-He can & He Will"- A Good Leader- who can turn out similar leaders for future."
